'We cannot fight Obama when we have to fight those who are supposed to be allies.'
BY BOB UNRUH
The Tea Party Nation, one of the largest groups in the tea party movement that rocked the 2010 elections, ejecting California Rep. Nancy Pelosi from her seat of power and electing a Republican majority in the U.S. House, earlier said that new Republican House Speaker John Boehner should be replaced because of his unwillingness to crack the whip on federal spending.
Now Tea Party Nation leaders say they can't wait that long to seek his exit.
"Three months ago, TPN called for Boehner to be challenged in the Republican primary," the organization said in an alert to its constituents today. "We can no longer wait for a primary challenge to Boehner. We must try to get the Republican House members to replace him as speaker."
Shock the Washington establishment by participating in the "No More Red Ink" campaign and shut down all new plans for bailouts, "stimulus" spending and even the funding for Obamacare.
Tea Party Nation explained, "On April 25, Boehner met with tea party activists in his district. He told them the debt ceiling would not only be raised this time, but it would be raised again and again. What Boehner did not say was the message behind the message. The message behind the message is that Boehner is not serious about spending cuts. Why would we need to raise the debt ceiling? We would only need to raise the debt ceiling so we can borrow more money. The only reason we would need to borrow more money would be if there are not going to be major spending cuts."

Seems like a nice guy and all, but he was a TARP voter (as were a lot of them left in the House and Senate).
Need new blood.
We've got too much to fight and accomplish in a short time before 2012 without using powder on this.
He can be replaced in 2012...first, let's get more Tad Party pubs into the house. take over the senate and the WH...
We're going to need all our energy for this
I have every reason to distrust him. He is weak, he is fake, he is not worth the effort of supporting. We need Churchills, not Chamberlains. If he made the comments as asserted in the article he is a component part of what is wrong with the government in Washington.

The Boner has to go.
Exactly I don’t give a crap about Boehner and don’t care for him much but it would be like changing a head coach in the middle of the season and expect to win the rest of the games.
When these groups’ tactics seem to have NO clue as to how things work I get very suspicious that they are really on my side.
Plus, people seem to forget that we do not control the Senate or the Executive. A great step was taken in the 2010 elections but it was only a step. We cannot let impatience and unreasonable expectations become our enemy when we already have enough.
Actually what would happen would be the potential for progress would be derailed and Bachmann would soon be receiving the same kind of criticism Boehner is. There is a large segment of the GOP which is clueless to how Congress works that is where the criticism is coming from.
In this hour of the/our Nations most dire need bonehead is a traitor and failure,NOTHING more!
The weeping, Rat butt kissing jackazz, needs to go and declare himself a pinko democrat!
I’m sure we should worry about that disdain but it sounds like the Are We There Yet? Party is breaking forth.
We are coming to a crossroad and I dont have any faith in this crybabies leadership and that goes for cantor and mcconnel as well.
He is just another Newt.
Just what the hell is “potential progress?” And if it is only “potential” how in the world do you know for a fact that it exists!! Unfortunately I am part of that “large segment” of the GOP that isn’t clueless in the least as to “how Congress works.” The way that Congress “works” is a disgrace. To try to paper over their unwillingness to face the critical issues facing this country is just nonsense! Give me a break, reasonable people know that Congress is broken. Why in the world would you make such a statement to cover for a weasel like Boner?

What do you have a problem with? “Potential” or “progress”? Congress has been roundly hated for virtually its entire existence so your problem with it is certainly not unique or original.
It is what it is and there is little that can be done about it. IF we had a media which reported accurately rather than try and smear the GOP and cover up for the Democrats something might be done. But WE DON’T.
The Are We There Yet? Party of which you are a member in good standing does not seem to grasp these simple facts and therefore goes flying off the handle when their wishes are not INSTANTLY granted.
Who in their right mind would have expected anything more than a spike in Obama’s wheels from the current structure in which conservatives hold MAYBE a third of one House of Congress? That is all that can be expected. New members of Congress have very little say or influence and never will. This is nothing I am justifying or defending it just is a matter of fact like saying a bullet to the head will kill you.
MG it is like you think you elected Superman last fall.
I support the GOP because there is no alternative. Congress reflects the will of the electorate so rather than getting all bent out of shape about the representatives you should be more concerned about educating the electorate.
Our government has always been roundly distrusted FROM the beginning but is not even close to collapse.
Very few people agree with you or your views which is why Congress is filled with people you hate. That is one of the things about representative democracy even ignorant and stupid people can vote. Since they vastly outnumber the intelligent and informed we are in the shape we are in.
However, when those who are supposedly intelligent and informed are disposed to throw out representatives who can only take one step at a time the problem is compounded since the representatives of the unintelligent and uninformed are rarely thrown out even if they make little or no progress towards their goals. This is why conservatives do so poorly even after making substantial gains rather than follow up on those gains they tend to turn on their allies with vicious attacks.
We took ONE step last fall don’t throw it away and let the RATS up off the floor.
Exactly - on all points.
I cannot believe this assclown Boner actually played a round of golf with the Kenyan Kommunist, thereby blunting the impact of future campaign ads that will expose the out-of-touch Ubanga’s time on the golf course while people were losing their jobs.
It was the ultimate face-palm.
Boner has GOT to go.
Horse manure.
Teams change coaches in the middle of the season all the time, often with the result that the team pulls its collective head out of its ass and starts to play harder and win.
