Silence, vagueness from colleagues as Weiner struggles to put Twitter photo scandal behind him

WASHINGTON — Publicly silent, fellow Democrats privately seethed Thursday over the distraction and furor surrounding the lewd photo sent from Rep. Anthony Weiner’s Twitter account, even as he declared he was finished talking about it and wanted to move on.

Weiner’s one-day, pun-laden media blitz a day earlier had only raised more questions about the embarrassing flap when he conceded he wasn’t sure whether the waist-down photo of a man’s bulging underpants was of him or not. His refusal to involve law enforcement because he said as a member of Congress he shouldn’t get special treatment — instead turning the issue over to a private security company he hired — raised rather than answered questions.

KEYWORDS: cybersecurity; democrats; twitter; weiner; weinergate
KEY SENTENCE: By hiring a private firm, Weiner controls the release of information about the investigation.

That's what I called several days ago. He can say they found the hacker and made an out of court and sealed settlement for damages. End of case. He didn't want to ruin the life of the prankster and give him a criminal record. Republicans need to run with the issue, hold hearings, and subpoena Twitter records.

So, can he explain just how a hacker got that shot of him? From the perspective of the photo, the “prankster” would have to have leaned over Weiner’s shoulder, pointed his camera downward, snapped it real quick, and then hustled away without Weiner noticing.

Weiner is toast. He has to cover up the first lie with numerous and more elaborate lies.

Kinda like Casey Anthony.

Yeah right, just as soon as they wrap up the Maxine Waters ethical violations hearings..........

Democrats care nopt a whit about morals. What they are waiting to see is if Weiner is rejected for his lack of discretion and immpral conduct. When the poeple become bored and move on without stomping the little pimple, the demcorats will rush to be his friend again. It is apparent that democrats have figured out values voters are a dwindling minority.

Beck played a clip of Weiner being questioned by a reporter--"Did you send the picture? Yes or No?" he weaselled around and refused to answer. Asked repeatedly for a simple one word answer he refused to do so. Says all I need to know.

If Weiner-man can’t recognize his own Little Jimmy in a picture he took himself he is too loony to even be in congress. And the bar there is pretty low.

If one cannot trust the word of a Weiner that throws pies from the back of the room to tell the truth then how can his word be trusted on anything at all? Question also holds true to his supporters and his silent colleagues as well.
