Him and his brother, Peter Graves, were Minneapolis boys.

Peter Graves was his brother, I think. Didn’t he pass away first?

Mr Arness,
It has been a pleasure watching your show for 20 years.
You taught the kids a lot of great life lessons of courage and compassion.

You will be missed.
May God Bless.

If we were a nation that could still be entertained by Gunsmoke, instead of say...Real Housewives of New Jersey, we wouldn't be in the trouble we're in.

RIP.

RIP James Arness.

From Wiki, he was severely wounded in WWII at Anzio, and his war wounds pained him ever since.

A true hero long before he played Marshall Dillon.

Or was it Dana Andrews who was Peter Graves’s brother? Not sure and not able to look it up right now.

Local channel started showing older TV shows about a month ago.

Mr Dillon comes on @ 5 AM & Gunsmoke comes on in early afternoon.

Sure was a pleasure to watch James.

R.I.P., Mr Arness. You will never be replaced.
