The state-run media is having fun today smearing Sarah Palin on her historical knowlege. Yesterday she told reporters Revere warned the British that the colonial militias were waiting for them.
Sarah Palin was right.
Paul Revere did in fact tell the British that the colonial militias, who had been alerted, were waiting for them...

She absolutely terrifies the liberal establishment.
I just love it. You know Sarah set the LSM up all the way on that one. Really good move. Her and Brietbart are in attack mode. Now if we could get the House to follow their lead and stop playing defense all the time.
Holy Pete, one bomb did all that destruction? Amazing that Howdy Doody can dress himself. Considering he’s supposed to be from Hawaii he doesn’t have a clue about what happened at the Harbor. Stupis is as stupid does. Can we get rid of him now....PLEASE!
[. . . They ran into a British patrol and Revere was captured. Dawes and Prescott got away. Revere was held, but convinced the British that they were too late, the people were already aware and getting ready to defend themselves. His captors confirmed that he was indeed telling the truth and released him.]
For the first time in my life I have something
in common with the Lame Stream Media...
We BOTH follow PALIN!
Shes the only one leading!
PALIN / WEST 2012!!!
I only hope Sarah can be this loquacious during her townhalls:
The Daily mail had a hit piece on this issue. And they were corrected by writers also.
Palin is right. Read ‘Paul Revere’s Ride’ by David Hackett Fischer or go to an Appleseed. Going to an Appleseed is more fun. See my tagline.
“Shortly after that, British troops stopped and arrested all three. Prescott immediately escaped. Dawes escaped soon after. Revere, however, was held some time before being released.
As he had no horse, he returned on foot to Lexington in time to witness part of the battle on Lexington Green on April 19, 1775. It was the first battle in which British troops were killed.
Dawes also did not make it to Concord. He got lost in the dark and unfamiliar surroundings.
The only one who actually made it all the way to Concord was Dr. Samuel Prescott.”
The stations tip line phone number is 1-800-280-TIPS.
Now I'm not suggesting (strongly) that anyone call the station to ask for a correction...but I did!

Suggestion: What is the history competency of Matt Lorch
For viewer feedback on the news email your news-related comments and questions to:
You betcha! She probably knew that they would key off of her statement and apply their lack of knowledge and attack.
Sarah does nothing without a purpose in mind. She is a hunter. She knows how to set a trap.
I saw the “THINK PROGRESS” name on the screen. Was this idiot a TV network/show staffer or a walk-on propagandist from the new Democrat attack machine?
His name is Lorch. SHould be DORK.
Hey Weiner, we found your missing dork. It’s on TV, and it talks.
Bluto: Over? Did you say “over”? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter (Tim Matheson): [whispering] Germans?
Boon (Peter Riegert): Forget it, he’s rolling.
I know I’m late to the show, but I just heard about this -”supreme commander of MILFistan”
Now there’s a campaign slogan I can vote for!
**You know Sarah set the LSM up all the way on that one.**
And I’m SURE Sarah is Enjoying every Minute of it... giving the LSM a full dose of what they gave her!!!!
My hopes for ‘12 ..
I would sleep well, any 2, any combination!!!
I do not recall the Lame Stream Media busting on Hussein Obama for his 57 States comment, his hospital Corpseman comment, his breathalyzer comment, and this list goes on.
Gee, he is infallible while all the “R”’s are nincompoops.
I hate State-run, panty-waisted, Lame-Stream Media types.
The damage has been done now. The hordes of Sarah Palin haters are running with Lorch’s false report and spreading it as truth without themselves checking out the story.
The liberal sheeple who are dumbed down in the public schools are running with it.
I’m so sick and tired of these liberals, their lies and smears! The Lord said all liars are going to hell. Well, there’s a whole bunch of them going.
What was the breathalyzer comment?
I’ve been saying it. It makes too much sense and it will really cause the left to come unglued. The thought of which makes me smile. ;-)
Linky no worky for me.
But but but Kraut and the Fox AHoles said she didn’t know or understand history?
Pray for America
She's treating the MSM as the "enemedia." She'd better stick to it...
The joke is on the LSM.
Paul Revere did ride to warn outlying villages, where the people there rang bells and fired shots to awaken others to warn the British were coming.
When Paul Revere was captured by British scouts before he got to Concord, he did tell them that the people knew they were coming, and where arms and ammunition was at. As other messengers had warned the pople of Concord, they knew the British were coming and were already moving the arms, ammunition and supplies.
And after reading more of this history, I wont be surprised if someone writes an article about Sarah Palin - Todays Paul Revere (Trading in her horse for a motorhome, Palin crisscrosses the countryside warning of the governments advances on seizing everything from our healthcare to our 2nd Amendment rights.....):
Another blog from Dec. 2010 talking about the warning of the taking of their arms:
The colonists had a cache of weapons in Concord, 17 miles to the northwest. The weapons included muskets and cannon, musket balls and cartridges, hundreds of barrels of gunpowder, reams of cartridge paper, spades, axes, medicine chests, tents, hogsheads of flour, pork, beef, salt, boxes of candles, wooden spoons, dishes, canteens, casks of wine and raisins, and other war supplies. The great fear was that General Gage was getting closer to the supplies. He had spies out and about....
Revere became suspicious in mid-April when he noticed that British landing craft were being drawn out of the water for repairs a clear indication that something was afoot. On the 16th he made a trip to Concord, a key community because it was the temporary home of the Provincial Congress and also a storehouse for militia guns, powder, and shot. He warned the residents there that redcoats were likely to be dispatched in the near future to seize the towns arms supply. Reveres warning was taken to heart and the townspeople began to hide arms and valuables in barns, wells, and the neighboring swamps.
On his return home, Paul Revere met with Patriot leaders in Charlestown and agreed on a plan to provide notice about the route the British would take to reach Concord. This was a necessary precaution because there was considerable doubt that Revere or others would be able to get out of Boston at the crucial time.
Revere agreed to arrange for the placement of signal lanterns in the belfry of Old North Church where they could have been easily seen across the Charles River. If one lantern were displayed, the British would be advancing by land over the Boston Neck, then north and west to Concord. If two lanterns were hung, the redcoats would have chosen to cross the Charles by boat to Cambridge, then west to their target.
The former route was unlikely because the soldiers would be clearly visible marching down the Neck, eliminating any element of surprise. The latter plan offered opportunities for concealing movement under cover of darkness and was five miles shorter than the alternative.
Revere resumed his activities in Boston, but in the early evening of April 18, he received word from a stable boy that the British were preparing boats for crossing the Charles. In short order, two other sources confirmed the initial report.
The local ABC Affiliate in Los Angeles is covering the story talking about Palin’s gaffe caught on video.
Facts are meaningless. Just look how Weiner is going to get out of his Twitter problem without a scratch while we lose a House Seat in New York because our guy took his shirt off.
The deck is stacked and our side is screwed over once again.
Do you remember the first press conference Obama held right after he was elected? He was asked by some female reporter if he’d spoken to any past Presidents, and the dope responded by saying that he’d obviously spoken to Bill Clinton, but in regards to other past Presidents he “didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances.” He ended up having to call Mrs. Reagan and apologize for making that comment.
It is not really the content of the statement it is the way it was made. Damn!!!!
Meanwhile - multiple Conservatives - even on this silly thread - have actual read Hackett’s book on the topic.
Lorch should be fired - the history is not in question.
"THE BOMB THAT FELL ON PEARL HARBOR"
This is how I have been repying to the LSM. Useless I know, but some lowlevel staffer will perhaps read.
The joke is on you LSM, but you always get the lie out first, hard and fast, then when the truth comes out, you go silent, and on to your next lie about Sarah Palin. (does “Tea Party like it’s 1773” ring a bell?)
Paul Revere rode out to warn outlying villages & etc, where the people there “rang bells and fired shots” to awaken others to warn the British were coming.
When Paul Revere was captured by British scouts before he got to Concord, he did tell them that the people knew they were coming, and where arms and ammunition were at. As other messengers had warned the people of Concord, they knew the British were coming and were already moving the arms, ammunition, and other supplies.
You in the LSM claim you are the smartest people in the room, on all things, perhaps you might want to check historical facts, you know, it’s called research.
Revere recounts in a 1789 letter maintained by the Massachusetts Historical Society.
“I observed a Wood at a Small distance, & made for that. When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back, and orderd me to dismount;-one of them, who appeared to have the command, examined me, where I came from,& what my Name Was? I told him. it was Revere, he asked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up. He imediately rode towards those who stoppd us, when all five of them came down upon a full gallop; one of them, whom I afterwards found to be Major Mitchel, of the 5th Regiment, Clapped his pistol to my head, called me by name, & told me he was going to ask me some questions, & if I did not give him true answers, he would blow my brains out. He then asked me similar questions to those above. He then orderd me to mount my Horse, after searching me for arms.He then orderd them to advance, & to lead me in front. When we got to the Road, they
turned down towards Lexington. When we had got about one Mile, the Major Rode up to the officer that was leading me, & told him to give me to the Sergeant. As soon as he took me, the Major orderd him, if I attempted to run, or any body insulted them, to blow my brains out. We rode till we got near Lexington Meeting-house, when the Militia fired a Voley of Guns, which appeared to alarm them very much.”
Additionally, as the Paul Revere Heritage Project notes.
“The Redcoats had set temporary roadblocks as a security measure and on their way to Concord they encountered British soldiers. Prescott managed to escape; Revere was captured and Dawes tried to run away but was arrested shortly thereafter. The British held Revere and interrogated him with a pistol on his chest. He was asked about the plans of the militia and where they kept their ammunition. When asked where the Patriots were hiding he told them the truth and replied that they had 500 militiamen in Concord protecting them and 1500 coming. As they rode towards Concord he was told that if he tried to escape he would be shot.”
So folks, how’s that hopey changey thingy working out for ya in Obamaville?
According to a letter written by Paul Revere to Jeremy Belknap, circa 1798:
Six officers, on Horse back, and orderd me to dismount;-one of them, who appeared to have the command, examined me, where I came from, & what my Name Was? I told him. it was Revere, he as-ked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up. [spelling as in original letter, which I have seen and read in person years ago]
Note: Sarah had a good idea about touring our historic sites, and I hope many from FR will follow the link and read the entire letter. I also hope she will bait the MSM with similar accurate comments over the next month before her formal announcement.
Palin/West... it will be a great ticket.

Some are miffed at West for not supporting
Obamacare repeal. From my research, West
felt it was too big to repeal and wanted
to puts efforts into other areas.
Something like that. I hope West has re-
considered and is now behind the repeal

BOMB PEARL HARBOR
BORN IN KENYA in his own words

It's highly doubtful that Palin even knew about this. She was fumbling and stumbling and just got lucky.
However, for those of you who actually do believe she knew what she was talking about, this is for you:
Really? I knew it, having learned it from my father and then having read the original letter. All of my children knew it, having learned it from me. Governor Palin is on a tour of our history, probably using that tour among other reasons to teach her own daughter the full history of our country from the source documents and original sites. What I found surprising was that no journalist or editor knew even that little bit of our history and spoke up to stifle the reflexive anti-Sarah attack.
Ignorance of our history is a sadly common failing, especially among liberals, but I am not willing to assume that same failing in someone who "got lucky" and might have been expected based on circumstances to have known.
