Still Rogue, Palin Embraces Media (17 interviews in 4 days)

SNIP

Reporters were kept in the dark about Palin's whereabouts during her "One Nation" bus tour and were forced to depend on sources or tips from park rangers to figure out which historical site the former Alaska governor might appear at next.

Her strategy is unlikely to change as the patriotism-themed tour makes its way through the Midwest, West and South later this month.

But once reporters tracked her down, Palin was eager to engage. At stop after stop after stop, she answered questions on everything from energy subsidies to the debt ceiling to her favorite brand of designer jeans.

SNIP

Putting aside her chaotic appearance at the Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally on Sunday, an event that generated little news other than pictures of a black-clad Palin riding on the back of a Harley, she took questions from the media 17 different times over the course of four days.

That's a remarkable number for any national political figure, particularly for one locked into an exclusive television contract that normally precludes her from talking to other media outlets. Some of the week's interactions were clearly more productive than others.

Her visits to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia generated a crush of media so large that her daughter Piper was body-blocking reporters and swatting microphones out of her mother's face. No one had a chance to ask a serious question.

And she botched details of Paul Revere's midnight ride while speaking to the press at a stop along Boston's Freedom Trail.

But Palin seemed at ease at most events, lingering outside her bus or SUV to answer every possible question despite Piper's best efforts to drag her away and helpless shouts of "Last question!" from her aides.

Gawd. The liberal media just can't stop, can they. "Chaotic appearance"?????? Didn't look all that chaotic to me.

The Palin team's stubborn and unconventional game plan also fed an inaccurate media narrative that the potential presidential candidate was actively ignoring the media.

Okay, so the media admits that it presents inaccurate narratives. Then how do we know whether to believe this or any other reporting?

No one had a chance to ask a serious question.

17 interactions in 4 day's with the media and CNN has this statement to give?...

Me thinks Sarah is doing a fine job of "Reaganing" the MSM! : D

She plays them like a violin.

Because absolutely she should eagerly answer their questions, with a smile on her face and a zest for her response.

As they so desperately want to villainize her she should be gracious and happy to comply with their queries.

It’s smart, because when they go on and on next time about what an awful person she is, how stupid she is...the only sound and sight bytes they’ll have are these happening moments as she greets the press with a grin of compliance.

She’s doing more to show the media as the liars they are and is taking years off the time it would normally require to change the public’s mind one opinion at a time.

Loving it.

Except about her favorite brand of designer jeans.

When one of these people finally have an aneurism, will Sarah Palin be considered an accessory before the fact?

It was chaotic because they (the media) had a hard time getting to her because she didn’t tell them exactly where she would be nor make prior arrangements with them. Hence, they were in Chaos!

“....and we found out that she didn’t botch Paul Revere details but was accurate as well.”

The MSM will continue to invent and push these lies. All Palin has to do is to quietly catalogue them and then trot them out as well as the names of the pushers at a propicious time in front of a national audience. She can destroy the veracity of the MSM in one moment.

If she is so uneducated and has no chance of winning, why are the media hounding her like she is the GOP frontrunner, and endangering lives by chasing her bus?

Yes, she is playing the media, but they could break this off at any minute. They DON'T have to follow her. Instead, in their zeal to destroy her, to find that slip-up or gaffe, they are actually helping her.

That sounds like any of Zero's public appearances. How many press conferences or unscripted q-and-a's has he done lately?

I’ve thought for some time that Palin, if she wants to run or even once again be part of the ticket, should forego appearances in these venues: not so much for ‘what it means’, but for what the MSM (CNN among them) will say it means about her. She’s playing , and has ALWAYS played, directly to the Tea Party constituency, but IMHO she would be better served (if those are her ambitions) to start ALSO
putting forth a more ‘serious’ image.I have no idea at this point if she sees herself as being an essential ingredient in “kingmaking” or whether she wants to be the King herself.
Still, this kind of thing probably cannot go on into 2012, and win her, or her feasibility, wider and wider support.
Of course, ‘that’s just my opinion, I could be wrong”.

Chaotic appearing? I think not.

THE REAL DEAL -
CNN hid in their vans awaiting orders from the DNC,
Obama, Soros, and Romney.

Looks like the media is employing a different ‘destroy Sarah strategy’. The headlines are designed to get hits by sounding vaguely ‘non-biased’ and then the bashing and snarky swipes begin in the article.

Another epic fail by the corrupt American press. I find myself not even bothering to go to their stupid sites to read their silly attacks...just don’t want to give them the hits.

If she didn’t respond to the media, they would skewer her for secrecy and ineptitude.
