At the very least, he should have informed the House Information Resources division of this breach for investigation. At the very least, the House Information Resources division should investigate this breach. Republicans control those committees I think. I am so Not holding my breath.

Those dumb Rats don't realize they're talking about the Point of Al Qaeda's Sword, (if you don't believe me, click on the above Weiner) and therefore constitutes one of the biggest stories of the decade. As such, there is no pulling back now before it comes to a head.

Well, Bubba was known for his pre-whitehouse affairs. When he was running, Hillary said they had worked it out.
Weiner has the best teacher in the world backing him and Huma does as she's told.

If Weiner was a Republican he would have been hounded out of office long ago. However, the double standard applies to Democrats and the press will continue to support him regardless of how ridiculous his explanations or the presence of hard evidence that he sent the photo. Bill Clinton committed perjury in his tawdry affair with Monica and the press and fellow Democrats never wavered in their support.

I agree. If he were a typical Congresscritter who really was hacked, every agency that wears a badge would be turned out to beat the bushes for the hacker.
He’d do that even if he weren’t hackedbut he’s afraid it would be an open-and-closed that he was responsible with just the smallest scrutiny.

That’s great, Doug. Do you think if we frame this as a ‘bipartisan issue’ (a national security issue), it might gain more traction?

Everything Weiner has done so far has been to prolong this news story. He keeps giving interviews, instead of shutting up and letting this die down. He refuses to answer whether the picture is of him, like he wants you to think it is. He actually had a reporter arrested, guaranteeing the story lingers until the next news cycle.
I think he is either getting off on this or he has some weird political agenda, or just can't resist the camera face time.

Weiner just needs to admit he sent the "weiner" picture to his porn star twitter friend and sent to to the wrong girl and be done with it.
Huma (his beard) probably really doesn't care since she would much rather munch carpet than eat a ........

“...good political news for them [Dems] this week, like the swearing in of Rep. Kathy Hochul, D-New York, who won a special election in a traditionally Republican district, ...”
How wonderfully ironic that Weiner’s scandal got in the way of the big D win of the seat a R congressman had to resign from for sending out shirtless pix of himself!

not Doug, but rumor was he was heading to be Mayor of New York City. That had been viable, but not so sure he’d be a good fit with NYS. He’s very much the ‘city boy.’

I don’t know NY politics but understood him to be the frontrunner or one of the frontrunners. Let’s see how this plays out.

The RATS will only turn on him if they think this is doing to much damage to them. The GOP needs to stand up and launch a congressional investigation. They have the power to subpoena.

The last thing he wants is an fbi investigation... His dilemma - if he reports it to the FBI as a hack - a crime - and they find it wasn't a hack job - he's committed a federal crime by knowingly reporting what he knows ISN"T a crime as a crime - (I just confused myself)
But you can see his pickle - ahhhh, let me rephrase. Maybe I just better quit...)

The name “Weiner” is now defined as “pathetically small penis” in the popular lexicon. And it will remain that way for as long as “Lewinsky” stays synonymous with fellatio.
