Chris Christie Exposes His Right Flank On Global Warming (he believes in man-caused GW too!)
Forbes ^ | June 1, 2011 | James M. Taylor

Posted on 06/04/2011 9:54:02 PM PDT by UniqueViews

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie delighted conservatives last week when he pledged to withdraw his state from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) of Northeastern states. Conservative delight, however, quickly turned to frustration as Christie emphasized he was merely taking issue with the political and economic mechanisms of RGGI, but did not disagree with the notion that humans are causing a global warming problem that needs to be addressed.

"[W]hen you have over 90% of the world's scientists who have studied this stating that climate change is occurring and that humans play a contributing role, it's time to defer to the experts," said Christie.

What is it with Christie?! I can see Romney being an idiot and declare his belief in GW, but I thought Christie has much more sense -- I guess not.

If there’s anyone whose right flank I do NOT need to see, it’s Christie’s. Run, Sarah, run!

Well, at least Perry is definitely NOT on the GW bandwagon:

Perry regarding GW (Oct 2007):

“I’ve heard Al Gore talk about man-made global warming so much that I’m starting to think that his mouth is the leading source of all that supposedly deadly carbon dioxide,” Perry said.

“Virtually every day another scientist leaves the global warming bandwagon. ... But you won’t read about that in the press because they have already invested in one side of the story. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be good stewards of our environment. We should. I am just saying when politics hijack science, it quells true scientific debate and can have dire consequences for our future.”

This has zero to do w global whatever. This is about revenue collection. Take a little from a lot of people. It’s worked pretty good so far. Too many uninformed in this country, let alone the world.

Texas Blasts Federal Efforts to Fight Global Warming

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124458842076899771.html

“Ms. Combs joined Gov. Rick Perry, also a Republican, at a meeting with industry leaders in the state capitol to discuss the threat of federal climate-change policy and underscore the energy-producing state’s skittishness towards the environmental concerns that are at the core of the Obama administration’s policy-making.

“I happen to think that what they are discussing could wreck our traditional energy industry and put a very serious dent in our economy,” said Mr. Perry. He repeated his view that the proposed provisions that recently passed out of committee in the House of Representatives amounted to the largest tax increase in history. The provisions would put a limit on emissions of the gasses blamed for climate change and require companies to pay for permits to pollute. As a result, “Every American that uses any source of energy would see their bills go up,” he said.”

Oh, now are people here going to criticize Christie? When I pointed this out, everyone was treating me like the proverbial skunk at a wedding.

Christie is in a liberal state. He probably even believes this stuff. That explains it.

Furthermore, it’s my understanding Christie is trying to massively borrow to push the state’s tramsportation costs off to future administrations. The democrats have accused him of doing exactly what he’s criticized them for doing.

To be clear he has done good things. But even the sainted Christie falls short.

but I thought Christie has much more sense -- I guess not.

It doesn't take too much digging to see that Christie is a Progressive RINO. Loves anti gun laws. Installed a Sharia Law loving muslim to the NJ courts. Backed Ground Zero Mosque. Open borders guy. Backed Castle in DE. Was one of only three GOP guys to dine at the WH with the POS head of China. Has the state fly him around on their helicopters for personal crap and on and on.

All this guy has for a positive record are silly library of You Tube videos of him saying things. Absolutely no record of achievement as a Gov.

“Global warming” is designed to destroy what’s left of our economic freedom. Gingrich, Romney, Christie, et al, are simply big government statists. Useful idiots.

Some of these Republicans either buy into this “man-made global warming” nonsense or are too afraid to antagonize the “establishment” propaganda — either way, these are NOT the candidates we need.

We need someone who is not afraid to stand up to the “establishment” and say the truth.

Sarah is doing a great job of that — I don’t know if she will actually run, or prefers to be a “king-maker” as they say.
