We Jerseyians have been telling folks that he’s not that good. He’s a typical Northeast Republican. Just got into a big hassle for using state helicopters to go to his son’s sporting events. I don’t really care one way or the other but his sulky, teary press conference was NOT impressive.

Oh, but those videos — all filmed at the expense of we, the NJ taxpayers - are going to form the infomercials and ads that Karl Rove will use to get this guy elected! Christie’s been Rove’s protege since his days as the NJ Federal Prosecutor. He was a stand-up guy for Rove, even slipping out word of a potential Menendez indictment the summer before Menendez was up for election. Menendez won in spite of it - but I was eager to see the indictment come down, figuring that Menendez would have to step, maybe after a GOP governor had been elected.

But that indictment never materialized - we never heard anything about it again! The next thing, we keep hearinf stories of Christie going down to DC to meet with Rove, and then him stepping down a few months before he’d have too announce for Governor, and it turns out he called Rove while he was still Prosecutor - from his office - to discuss whether he should run for Governor.

S o Chris and Karl go way back.

There is nothing more that Rove would love than for all the candidates he disdains as insignificant jokes - like Palin and Cain - battle it out with each other, nobody making any headway with the voters, and Christie would ride in to save the day. When he met wit the Iowa GOP “big guys” on the 31, he said that he was still not going to run for President - but he is going to Iowa to address a conference in May.

I bet Rove thinks he can slip Christie in past all the other “little” candidates that the people have actually worked for for months. That would explain a lot of what he says these days.

What is it with Christie?! I can see Romney being an idiot and declare his belief in GW, but I thought Christie has much more sense — I guess not.
That's just only one issue that Christie's RINOish on. Remember his stance on the Ground Zero mosque victory mosque near the WTC site? Welcome to New Jersey, where all politics is left.

Both parts of the statement may be true and yet misleading. Climate change is as old hat as Mother Nature’s repeated ice ages and glacial retreats. There may be a theoretical influence upon this from man made carbon emissions, but it is like unto the effect of a drop of boiling water added to a pot of ice water. Also, warmer with more carbon dioxide is not necessarily worse for the world. Such conditions would be a veritable spa for green plants.

Hopefully its a case of a candidate just giving a position lip service. Kinda like Obama says he “believes marriage should be only between a man and a woman” and then does everything he can to undermine that “belief”.

Gingrich, Romney, Christie, et al, are simply big government statists. Useful idiots.

You're completely wrong.

They're not useful. :)

Christie is definitely not my man. Belief in AGW renders all of his demonstrated wonderfulness irrelevant.Stating a belief in AGW is stating that he will use socialist means to "overcome" it.

Why do the Republicans all leap aboard this ship when it is very obviously sinking?

All the Rino globalists beleive in the UN’s watermelon agenda hidden behind the “scientific” ruse of “global warming.”

Christie is not a constitutionalist nor is he an American loyalist. He’s a globalist who has no problem demolishing the constitution as it serves his agenda.

Did he admit he was wrong because he realized he had been wrong or because he saw that the wind had changed? That is the problem with politicians. Unless one is rock steady ab initio one cannot be trusted.

Both parts of the statement may be true and yet misleading.

Deception, yes. For a motive that should require punishment. Almost all of those who propose or demand punishment of energy consumers, know that the premise of Man Made Global Warming is a LIE. Few true believers are really knowledgeable about the purported science. The REAL REASON for this scam is Global Money and Power. Those who advocate Cap & Trade are Traitors and deserve punishment, regardless of what they "say", their actions reveal their intent.
