The Tea Party will support whoever wins the GOP presidential nomination - - even if that person is former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. That's the affirmative word from Tea Party Express chair Amy Kremer.

Well I just responded to her latest e-mail to me...she is soooo backpeddling!
One of the things I mentioned was if she had any inclinging of the pulse of the people, concerning Romney, she would have never dared saying the tea party would support him if he won the primary...and asking her how it is she did’nt know? But then if she is supporting him herself that would account for it.
Will see what she has to say in response....but I have a feeling she might be using staff to answer these....I will be able to tell by how she responds this time...I set her up in order to see if that’s so. If so I won’t be continuing the communication.

I agree Citizen. I refuse to vote for “the lesser of two evils”. It’s still evil and I won’t do it. If I do, what’s the point of it all?

Amy says she and the Tea Party Express will not be endorsing ANY candidate until after their debate.
She also said that the Republican nominee will have to have full support of the Tea Party movement.
So the question that was asked was redundant and assumes that the nominee already has Tea Party support, “Will you support Romney if he is the nominee?”
Tea Party Express also endorsed candidates like Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Allen West and Raul Labrador
I was thinking the same thing. First things first. We don't even know the announced candidates and we aren't even in the primaries yet. The first priority is to stop Mitt Romney. Second priority is to rally around a conservative - best one we can get.

Oh, and most of FR will NOT support MittWit if he is the nominee no matter what Amy Kremer thinks.

I don’t think we need an official Tea Party Organization. The more the merrier. Harder to target or control.
Amy Kremer is sending “robo-e-mails”... just replaying the same e-mails to those who contact her..... like robo phone calls......scripted to defend herself and saying nothing at all let alone addressing any pointed questions.
Kemer is not about to take on the hard questions, unless there’s a camera in her face... and is likely having staff just ‘robo e-mail’ for her. She’s in Romney’s court as far as I’m concerned.
Waste of time to contact her IMO...she’s out for Amy now and that means rolling for Romney..
Yes we have. I held my nose, but I didn’t vote for McCain/Palin. Sorry, I’m sick and tired of voting in people who do the Left’s work for them. Whatever Obama was going to do, two or three Republican administrations run by men like McCain would have accomplished for him.
We couldn’t continue on that road either. We lose either way.
IMO, enough people don’t understand this principle to do anything about it.
This nation is going down. It’s going down no matter which party is in control.
We continue to move Left, under both parties. The only difference is the rate were moving that direction.
What major move to the right have we seen since Reagan? I can’t think of a single one.
We have less than half the Navy we had then. We have closed so many military bases, I’ve lost count. We make hardly anything here any longer. R^D has followed manufacturing to China. It now produces the fastest computer in the world. Our national debt is just under three times larger than when Bush II became president. The dollar is barely hanging on. The only thing saving it, is that every other currency is under downward pressure. In a matter of months, we have no ride to space. There is no foreseeable program to get back into space, or at best it’s a stumble and not a next step up. We spent something like $80 billion dollars on a space station, named it the “international space station”, and now can’t even get to it without sticking out our thumb and hoping the Russians will give us a ride. We cancelled our super collider in Texas. We’re bringing in more people from terrorist states, have surrendered our land, assets, and wealth to foreign nationals. We treat our citizens like they moving from cell block to cell block when they want to fly. Our kids don’t know how to read or make change when they leave high school, but they know about anal sex and probably how to put on a condom with no hands.
Tell me a vote for McCain was a good idea. Go ahead. LOL, look I don’t fault you at all. You do what you can, and you did.
I still have a terrible longing to see the nation I grew up in returned to good health.

Amy Kremer is one of the so-called tea party "leaders" who is trying to ensure that the tea party does not take on social issues. I'm sorry, but this is not a conservative stance. You cannot concentrate only on fiscal issues. You cannot separate out life and liberty and expect America to remain a free country.How true. The tea partiers themselves in my experience are interested in social issues also.
Illegal immigration, abortion, voter fraud (which the GOP doesn't fight effectively) etc etc.
The Tea Party "leaders" need to push strongly that we are a Constitutional Republic directed by the Constitution.
And need to keep mentioning the Constitution out there when they speak.
And loudly declare the importance of that document.
In spite of the writing on the wall, that became much more very evident after McCain gave the election to Obama.
What with McCain's people marginalizing her from the very beginning, and then Romney sicing his people on her to boot.
Even if Romney is the republican candidate and picks Michelle Bachmann as his VP to try to "satisfy" (read "fool") the tea party movement people, I still won't vote for him.
I don't think Bachmann would take the job offer though...

Those two statements are mutually exclusive.
Romney will NEVER "have full support of the Tea Party movement."

No it wasn't. It was a good question to ask from what Kremer said. The media as well as the GOP are quite taken by Romney.
She answered it from a position of naivety.
If the TPX has been faithfully monitoring Free Republic for the last few years, they would know that Romney's record speaks so loudly of flip-flopping and liberal stances that he is not conservative enough for the TPM
If the GOP wishes to be a player in the next election cycle, they will have to embrace the Tea Party Movement or they will alienate 10's of millions of Americans.

Syncro, after giving it some thought, I’m hard pressed to disagree. There is one sure fire way to get my vote though. It’s to give the nomination to someone who truly understands Conservatism, won’t say glowing things about Leftists on either side of the isle, knows how to and isn’t afraid to sell it, and is sure fire guaranteed to implement it if elected.
Frankly, I’d like to see the Republican party get about 500,00 votes the next time a fellow traveler of Soros and Teddy gets the nomination.
