Darrell may just as well get the House SWAT team in training, ‘cuz this subpoena is going to be given all the respect due to a bucket of cold spit.

Most likely outcome?
Obstruction of justice until civil war or death of America.

Issa may be more of a problem for the DOJ and the administration than Grassley. The Repubs do control the House (hard to realize, I know considering their behavior of late) and Issa doesn’t have serious skin in the ethanol subsidy game that Grassley and the Iowa political/business establishment does so there is no really big stick the administration can wield against him. This case does have real potential to be damaging in a big way in am election year. Eventually even some media whores are going to tumble to its ‘headline potential’. And self advancement will top ideological loyalty every time.

I will believe Issa is going to subpoena people, the day he does it.

What is this, the umpteenth time he has postured, then does naught?

Issa, if you are going to shoot, then shoot, don’t talk, IOW, crap or get off the pot.

We’ll see. I doubt if this will go very far. I beleive Issa might be given “an offer he can’t refuse”.

Why are the Republicans slow walking this investigation? It has been months since this fiasco that got Americans killed was made public and nothing has happened.

I have zero faith that Rep Issa will actually do anything.

This will not end well for the Hussein administration.

I agree with you and am cheering him on.Americans have died because of this unlawful action the Whitehouse may have ordered and it is important that this goes forward. It will be hard not to cover it when the WH starts the blocking.

You and I may say there’s really only one way to cover this story once they get around to it. I suspect we’d be wrong.

Me too. Most Republicans have no gonads.

True, but the pure explosive power of the storyline of a US government agency plotting to flood a neighboring country with weapons for the use of narco terrorists is a journalists wetdream. Ideology may win out but there is hope that the allure of ‘another Watergate’ will triumph.

C’mon—doesn’t Issa know that obamathugs are not subject to any subpoenas? The king hussein simply will deem them nonenforceable ‘cause he won.

-——hard to realize,.....considering their behavior———

unless of course you are deaf dumb and blind and don’t pay any attention to the outstanding successes of the legislation passed and sent to the senate. The Republicans have done great, even magnificent work that can’t be denied except by the sanctimonious selfrightousists among us

They now want to know what the administration was thinking

We know darned well what they were thinking. They joined a propaganda campaign with the President of Mexico himself, blaming American gun dealers for all the violence among the Mexican cartels. They wanted to blame it on redneck conservative Christians who support the Second Amendment. But it backfired, because they didn't get to orchestrate the proceedings when it went public. And unfortunately several innocent people were shot with the guns they provided, including a Border Patrol agent who was sent in after a narco killer armed with a popgun.
