It's will she or won't she as Sarah Palin's non-campaign hits overdrive (check out this quote)
The Australian ^ | Sunday June 5, 2011 | Christina Lamb

Posted on 06/05/2011 6:18:58 PM PDT by Bigtigermike

Asked by The Sunday Times when she would decide, Palin replied: "Some weeks".

She may first seek advice from another unconventional female politician, Margaret Thatcher. "I am going to Sudan in July and hope to stop in England on the way," she said. "I am just hoping Mrs Thatcher is well enough to see me as I so admire her."

Ya just gotta hand it to Sarah.

Once the Marxist left mad it clear that they would nit pick her to death with regulations and requirements, she just remains uncommitted while running the best campaign ever, and avoids the hassle and distractions.

Palin, on point, on message! Marxist regulators, on the trash heap.

Sarah Palin was invited by some Tories last year, especially by Daniel Hannan, Conservative MP to visit England and meet them and some TEA party types living there, also word was that Baroness Thatcher wanted to meet Sarah....plans were later ditch last year because of scheduling conflict and now they seem to have revived!

Amglophilia since the kid who was smart enough to be born to a Queen’s son hooked up with a semi-hot almost equally regal chick. That part is inexplicable (but unsurprising).

But, since barry the zero returned the gift of Churchill’s bust and gave gifts from the WH gift store and a ipod with crap music, we know that we have to make amends with our ally (this won’t happen completely until Herman is in the WH).

When in Boston, her remembrance of history is a bit slanted. Perhaps she is trying to gain favor in the UK as she is being placed once again in the national and international scene.

When speaking of Paul Revere in while in Boston:

"He who warned the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms, by ringing those bells, and making sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free."

I'm sorry, this is embarrassing. Revere was warning his fellow Americans. What a dolt! If this is the best Republicans have to offer, we're in deep dung.

Palin may be brainstorming a go-to-hell/go-for-broke contrarian campaign that may set the world on its ear. With too many Republicans waning to hold hands and sing cumbuya with the leftist scum who want us in our graves, it might be just the tonic for an ailing America. And it could well be the republic’s last stand.

Sarah’s got a knock-out bod. She could be a model.

The ONLY and I mean ONLY thing I would work on is her voice delivery but she is her own person and not a fake so I doubt that she would, but I hope she does. The media will have something to bitch about.

However—GO SARAH!

no I am not wrong, it's a direct quote from her. This was not "misquoted".

If she "meant" what you and this article said, then she would have said it in plain English, which is an obvious challenge for her. If she is incapable of formulating her thoughts without a script, then she is not much better than the half wit twit we have in the WH either.

Apparently you've been under a rock for the last 235 years. Revere did warn the British. He was captured and interrogated at gunpoint. In response to British questions he defiantly told them that the colonial militia would frustrate their efforts to confiscate American arms and ammunition. Palin tried to pack too much into a single sentence and got that sentence a bit garbled, but she had her facts fundamentally right. There's a dolt in this scenario, but it isn't Governor Palin.

When a prospective presidential candidate doesn't know that the Battle of Lexington and Concord took place in Concord, MA rather than Concord NH, that's mildly worrisome. But Palin’s supposed gaff actually indicates that she is remarkably well informed about the Nation's founding. You guys should just give up trying to pretend she's stupid. She isn't and the truth will out.

Read Paul Revere's own account. After he'd done his ride to warn the colonists, he was captured by a British patrol. When questioned, he warned the soldiers about what was waiting for them when they reached Concord.

Apparently that part is not well known, so many folks assumed Sarah had gotten it wrong. Nope.

So paul revere was warning the British troops? Hardly. Warning shots? Bells? No...Sarah Palin screwed up and can’t admit it. At the end of the day, she’s just another politician.

What we have here is, as Rush would say, "a glittering example of colossal ignorance." The person in question has grown up hearing a certain story, assumes it to be exhaustive of the historical narrative in question, hears another account of it by someone he is predisposed to disbelieve and to discount and then assumes that the difference between what he has grown up believing to be true and what he has heard that augments it must necessarily arise from something defective in the one he is predisposed to disbelieve and to discount. This is not only an example of colossal ignorance, but of intellectual arrogance (and laziness) for not bothering to see who was correct, blithely assuming that whatever he believes must exist in some sort of one-to-one correspondence with reality--you know, the typical liberal mindset.

To set you straight (and to see whether you are able to admit your ignorance or, like a liberal, keep chattering the same old line):
Here's the whole story of Paul Revere's ride:

Revere confronted 2 British regulars manning a road block as he headed north across Charlestown Neck. As he turned around, the regulars gave chase and he eluded them. He then continued on to Lexington, to the home of Jonas Clarke where Sam Adams and John Hancock were staying. There, his primary mission was fulfilled when he notified Adams and Hancock that "The Regulars are coming out!" (he never exclaimed, "The British are coming". This would have made no sense at the time since they considered themselves British).

Revere and Dawes then headed for Concord and came across Doctor Prescott who then joined them. They decided to alarm every house along the way.

Just outside of the town of Lincoln, they were confronted by 4 Regulars at another road block. They tried unsuccessfully to run their horses through them. Prescott, who was familiar with the terrain, jumped a stone wall and escaped. Revere and Dawes tried to escape and shortly into the chase they were confronted by 6 more regulars on horseback. Revere was surrounded and taken prisoner. Dawes got away as they were taking Revere into custody.

The British officers began to interrogate Revere, whereupon Revere astonished his captors by telling them more than they even knew about their own mission. (HA!) He also told them that he had been warning the countryside of the British plan and that their lives were at risk if they remained in the vicinity of Lexington because there would soon be 500 men there ready to fight. Revere, of course, was bluffing.

The Regulars had Revere remount his horse and they headed toward Lexington Green, when suddenly, they heard a gunshot! Revere told the British officer that the shot was a signal "to alarm the country!". Now the British troops were getting very nervous (hehe).

A few minutes later, they were all startled to hear the heavy crash of an entire volley of musketry from the direction of Lexington's meeting house and then the Lexington town bell began clanging rapidly! Jonathan Loring, a Lexington resident captured earlier, turned to his captors and shouted "The bell's a' ringing! The town's alarmed, and you're all dead men!"

The British officers then talked urgently among themselves and decided to release their captives so as they would not slow their retreat.
Remember how Sarah Palin said "Let's party like it's 1773" and the usual suspects, many of whom excoriated her on the matter of Paul Revere, berated her for not saying 1776? But she was referring to the Boston Tea Party that took place in 1773, not 1776.

Come on, separate yourself. Don't spend your time with such clueless jerks.

Her history is correct. He did try to frighten the Regulars (British) by telling them 500 armed Americans were waiting for them.

First you say: I’m sorry, this is embarrassing. Revere was warning his fellow Americans. What a dolt! If this is the best Republicans have to offer, we’re in deep dung.

And he DID warn the Regulars: He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River,

Letter from Paul Revere to Jeremy Belknap, circa 1798 - Page 4

Then you say : then she would have said it in plain English, which is an obvious challenge for her.

So which is it? You disagree with history? Or her delivery? It may have been garbled but she WAS right.

I'm afraid Baroness Thatcher has Alzheimer's Disease and is pretty far gone with dementia. Her daughter has written on the subject. Lady Thatcher missed Prince William's wedding and has largely disappeared from public view, which suggests her condition isn't good. There's a danger that any meeting Sarah Palin has with her will be portrayed in the media as a crass, exploitative publicity stunt. There's powerful symbolism in a meeting between the two, but it might be better to give it a miss.

Guys/gals — I really do love Sarah. She can and has done a lot to re-energize conservatives.

Her chances of election should be analyzed somewhat independent of these.

And I am betting taglines she won’t run for POTUS.

And it will be right here and I will carry the most self-deprecatory tag-line the first person who takes me up on my bet. Of course, it goes the other way.

She is more useful on the sidelines.

Of course my dream is she endorses Herman and he runs the table. But we must walk before we sprint...

Dubbed "Driving Miss Crazy" by comedian Jon Stewart, Palin's six-day bus tour of the US east coast infuriated Republicans and the media following her.

Infuriated Republicans? Yeah, our so called Republican Party wants to shove Romney down our throats. The way Sarah is being treated by her own party is despicable.
