OMG!!OMG!!OMG!!OMG!!OMG!!OMG!!OMG!!
The plan is to roll the film out in IA, SC, and NH....then put it in 50-100 markets (per Bannon).-- snip --He said yesterday he will be announcing rollout details sometime this week...
I believe Bannon said he was working on a digital distribution deal but didnt elaborate.
Canes here we come...libs, rats and euroweenies discombobulated.....
Cannes here we come...libs, rats and euroweenies discombobulated.....
From Pamela Geller’s website:
“Filmmaker Steve Bannon invited me to an exclusive screening of his new Palin documentary”Undefeated” in New York this last night. It’s a blockbuster, because she is a force of nature. He has done this country a great service in this remarkable effort. Sarah Palin is one of the most media saturated of all public figures and yet so few know her story or more remarkably her exceptional record. No governor at any time, not LaGuardia, Roosevelt or even Reagan, accomplished anywhere near what this champion achieved in her first 18 months in office.
We all fell in love with her for a reason and despite years of malevolent Palin-bashing, this film reminds us why. It is astounding. And while America may look to Alaska for it’s energy, what America should look to Alaska for is her leadership.”
...I found it particularly interesting to hear the viewpoints of some of Gov. Palins co-workers from her early political days. These werent comments by fans, but real observations from the trenches.
Thats all very helpful when discerning the character of someone versus the media pundits vying for your attention.
Theres a reason work applications ask for references. And with this film, you have them.
Go Sarah Go
It would be HUGE in so many markets, even places like New York City, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc.
Place keeper for tomorrow.....
Awesome!! Thanks for posting all the great links to threads, etc.
Could you imagine any other GOP candidate generating this amount of buzz? Nope.
When they say 50-100 markets, do they mean individual theaters or theater chains?
...No new footage of Palin appears in the film and Bannon did not conduct interviews with her.-- snip --Instead, she appears in newscasts and other video from key points in her political career, like her maiden speech at the Republican National Convention in 2008, which is featured prominently throughout the documentary.
Palin voice runs over parts of the film, but Bannon purchased the audio rights her memoir Going Rogue...sprinkling parts of the recording throughout the film.
...Palin saw a rough cut of the film with her husband Todd in Phoenix, Ariz., and she told Fox News's Greta van Susteren last week that "it blew me away."And, I understand that the pre-production "rough cut" that Governor Palin saw did not yet have the powerful musical sound track which will be in the final version of the film.
The Undefeated is divided into three parts.Act I details Sarah Palins early life and her first forays into politics.
We travel along with her as she runs for mayor of Wasilla and as she fights the GOP establishment in Alaska to become governor. The scene of her announcing her gubernatorial campaign from her kitchen in Wasilla is one that any grassroots activist can appreciate. Similarly, there is a scene relating how she relocated her inauguration from the traditional Juneau to the more sentimental choice of Fairbanks, indicating that she has been going rogue for a long while now.
Act II goes into great detail about the struggles and accomplishments of the Palin Administration.
Turns out, Gov. Palin was (and is) well versed in energy and oil, budgets (she was not afraid to wield the line item veto!), and ethics reform. Special attention is paid to Palins role in facilitating the AGIA license, which brought a long-awaited gas pipeline to fruition. This portion of the film was heavy on the oil and gas issues, underscoring their importance to Alaska and Palins mastery of their intricacies.
Act III starts in August of 2008, the point where many of us came to know Sarah Palin -- as she joined John McCain on the GOP ticket.
This is also the point in the film where we get to see the left dissolve into witlessness and vulgarity when faced with the possibility of a conservative woman becoming vice president.
[Note: There will likely be two different versions of the movie released -- one that is family-oriented and one that contains the obscene rhetoric of the left in all its glory.]Its sad that revisiting these images is no longer shocking, as we have come to expect this of the left, particularly when it comes to their treatment of Sarah Palin and other prominent conservative women.
Thanks a million for posting this. I sense a new beginning, an awakening in America. You go, Sarah!

It appears Sarah has thrown the rule book out the window again. I like that! When the commies in the state run “media” hate and want to destroy not only you but also your family, you might have to change the rules of the game. That’s what Sarah is doing. Take your case directly to the American people. Screw the commie libs in the so called “media”.
We all fell in love with her for a reason and despite years of malevolent Palin-bashing, this film reminds us why.Bingo, Windflier! It is astounding.
Also from atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com:
...Palin's background is blue collar.-- snip --Her father was a schoolteacher who never made more than $23,000 a year. Her mom was a homemaker. Her husband is working class and she belongs to no political dynasty or any insiders clique either in the beltway or Alaska.
She is us.
She is the quintessential maverick, an outsider, but despite this, she beat old boy powerhouse Republican Frank Murkowski in the primary before crushing the competition in the general election to become Alaska's youngest -- and first female -- chief executive on sheer goodness and will.
And even those of us who thought we knew what champion Palin was, knew little of her monumental achievements.
American needs this film.
...I hope this is the opening salvo in the right's counter assault on the left's cultural choke-hold and manufactured narratives they audaciously call news.It is time, America, we go on the offense.
Bannon kicks off the film by exposing the fierce pathology behind Palin Derangement Syndrome with a series of vidclips of well known "celebrities" spewing X-rated misogynistic, sexist, and vicious remarks about Palin.
It speaks more to their character or lack thereof.
Bannon actually has two versions of the film - the x-rated and the PG13 edit for family audiences. What I admire most is how Palin does not back down in spite of this misogynistic war on her very existence.Having been on the receiving end of violent left wing poison (I actually make a cameo in the film when a Keith Olbermann "worst person in the world" clip is used - I am the runner up to Palin) the abuse against her is shocking. And yet Sarah moves forward without hesitation with guts and grit and grace. I love her.She has character and spine like no one else. Obama would melt in one day under such relentless attack. The left does not realize that they have trained this woman for D-day battle.America needs to see this movie if, for no other reason, to know what a real leader looks like and acts like and to understand what Palin actually accomplished.
America must begin to understand how violent and destructive the elitists that control information dissemination have become.
We witness an absolute campaign of destruction of a squeaky clean, brilliant, accomplished champion of the people by bloodthirsty, jealous hyenas. And the craven complicity of the Republican establishment will drive legions away from the old guard and their Rovian mechanics.
The Old Guard must stand down.
I think of Patty Griffin singing “I don’t ever give up”.
Thanks a million for posting this. You're welcome!I sense a new beginning, an awakening in America.
You go, Sarah!
Supporting Governor Palin, and this new movie is a "labor of love!"Personally, I like her phrase, a new "Restoration" -- like in Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally.
Speaking of Mr. Beck, I wonder what role his new "GBTV" project will play in all this. ;)
We all fell in love with her for a reason... - Pamela GellerWe need to liven up this thread with some PICTURES!

There are a LOT more on the way......like THIS ONE:
Matt Lewis, The Daily Caller: "The Undefeated could be a game-changer for Sarah Palin
So this is interesting. Mr. Bannon created this film all on his own, without actually ever MEETING Sarah Palin? This isn’t put out by any group connected with her, in any way? That is excellent, because though the left will try to accuse her of pushing the film, if she’s never been involved, with the exception of allowing the filmmaker the right to use the audio version of her book, they won’t be able to make their case.
Exactly
“Markets” in film distribution usually refers to cities.
Well Obama and DumbBum Romney. Plain Spoken Sarah has entered the building . Be afraid Obama. Be afraid Romney. Be very afraid.
Republicans, start fighting like a girl or get out of the kitchen.
I think of Patty Griffin singing "I dont ever give up".I understand.
Personally, though (like Matt Lewis, below) -- I hear "Gonna Fly Now," from the very first "Rocky" movie. :o)From dailycaller.com:
...Lastly and youre not hit over the head with this in the film but this movie works because hers is, in essence, a terrific underdog story. Here you have a very normal person (the film opens with home video footage of a very young Sarah Palin) who has dramatic early success, but just as she reaches for the brass ring, someone pulls the rug out from under her.
Can she make a comeback? Wait and see. There are ups and downs and heroes and villains and mistakes along the way. This is all great theater.Im reminded of the original Rocky, when Apollo Creed decides to give a nobody a shot at the title.Everybody thinks Rocky is in over his head. After all, how can he beat the champ? But Rocky rises to the occasion (to me, the convention speech was the big match.)And, of course as few recall Rocky lost the first fight...
Interesting. What a creative way to enter the race.
Sarah Palin: The Movie"Political campaign books are so yesterday..."
So this is interesting. Mr. Bannon created this film all on his own, without actually ever MEETING Sarah Palin? From thehill.com:
...Bannon said his idea for the film sprouted when Palin aides Rebcca Mansour and Tim Crawford approached him following the 2010 elections and asked him to produce several short videos that tout her accomplishments during her term as governor and explain her controversial decision to resign in 2009, following her defeat as the vice presidential nominee on the 2008 GOP ticket.Bannon...instead set out to make a feature-length film about Palin's political career and his Victory Film Group fronted $1 million for its production.
While Bannon said Palin had no editorial role in the film, and that he has only met her once in person, he obtained access to Palin's allies in Alaska with the help of members of her current and former staff, including her former-spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton.
No governor at any time...Wow....not LaGuardia, Roosevelt or even Reagan......accomplished anywhere near what this champion achieved in her first 18 months in office. - Pamela Geller
This message must have been hammered hard in the movie, since Matt Lewis makes the same point.
From dailycaller.com:
...This film captures the emotional response the hope and excitement many Americans felt when she was selected. Dont be surprised if some folks even tear up during the convention speech scene.Putting emotion aside, the second thing this film does well is make the logical case for Palin to be taken seriously.
Viewers who have never read "Sarah from Alaska" or "Going Rogue" may learn for the first time just how good she was as governor.
Her short tenure as Governor of Alaska was remarkably strong (as the film points out, her approval rating was well over 80 percent when she was placed on the national ticket).
Bannon spends a lot of time telling the story of Palins accomplishments as governor, and the truth is that few governors even two-term governors have ever had a better or more productive eighteen months than Palin had before her selection as McCains running mate.
"By far, the most eye-opening part of the film — and no doubt, most useful to the presidential hopes of Palin — is the second act, detailing Palin’s time as Alaska’s governor. Oil companies are the relentless villain of Alaskan politics; in retrospect it seems bizarre that the woman most hated by modern liberals spent so much of her career fighting tooth and nail with oil-company executives. During this whole stretch, there isn’t a partisan note. Alaskan politics is painted as a rigged game benefiting the politically powerful and influential with the citizenry getting the short end of the stick, time and again — until Palin appears on the scene."
A good portion of "The Undefeated" focuses on setting the record straight on Palins record...-- snip --
...Most importantly, Bannon links it all together through shared themes a distaste for closed-door negotiations, a belief in the power of free-market competition to yield the best results, and a desire to uphold the Alaska Constitution and to protect the rights and interests of hard-working Alaskans...
-- snip --
... so that Palins 2008 RNC speech and 2011 Wisconsin Tea Party rally speech impact viewers with renewed meaning.
Theyre not words from a politician who is simply saying what people want to hear.
Theyre words that are directly in line with everything Sarah Palin has done in politics from the beginning...
And, it's posted on RINO Central - NRO!Here's more about the "PDS" opening, from Jim Geraghty at www.nationalreview.com:
...Before the screening, Bannon mentioned that I and other political reporters were about to watch the X-rated version, as opposed to a XXX-rated version that he envisions being released on DVD someday.Within the first four minutes, the reason for that cryptic remark was clear, and the X rating is well deserved:
The worst sneers, insults, and furious denunciations from Palins enemies are presented in their original language, sans any bleeps.Whats remarkable is that the acidic comments from comedians such as David Letterman, Joan Rivers, Rosie ODonnell, and Tracey Morgan arent really jokes. Theres no punch line per se; calling Palin slutty or a whore, or offering some other (usually sexual) insult, apparently is supposed to be the punch line.(A version in theaters is likely to bleep out the worst ones.)
The F word and the C word make multiple appearances.
"I believe you have to grab the audience in the beginning," Bannon says.Perhaps hes understated his grab.
Here's MORE great stuff from his piece at www.nationalreview.com:
...Once the film catches up to where most of America met Palin when she joined John McCain on the campaign trail it loses a bit of its narrative punch. For those who have followed the news, the story of the convention speech, the dramatic surge her selection provided to the McCain campaign, and the financial meltdown are familiar territory.
Palins decision to resign is given a better explanation and justification here than in her actual resignation speech.Tammy Bruce, Mark Levin, and Andrew Breitbart are featured heavily in this section, and with no disrespect intended to any of them, Palins story is more powerfully told through the voices of Alaskans obscure to most Americans than through the semi-familiar voices of conservative pundits. This is not to say this section doesnt pack its punches, one of which is a particularly impassioned prosecutorial indictment of the Republican party establishment.
(Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell, along with House leaders John Boehner and Eric Cantor, might want to step out for popcorn at this point.)Breitbart in particular gets a memorable denunciation of eunuchs on the cultural right in Washington and New York City.Theres some extraneous commentary, but Levin does astutely note that the Palin campaign rallies in autumn 2008 can easily be seen as embryonic Tea Party rallies, and the film ably contends that Palins values and approach to governing experienced a vivid national vindication in the historic Republican wins in the 2010 midterms.
This appears to be why Bannon picked the title The Undefeated, already being mocked by the familiar chorus. One of the last comments from Breitbart is, "Thank God Sarah Palin refused to accept the premise of her own destruction."
Matthew Boyle, The Daily Caller: The Undefeated: Palin documentary shows shes no Caribou Barbie'
"Ive been fortunate in my life to work with the best and brightest in this country," Bannon said, referencing his days with Goldman Sachs and the United States Navy and his current contacts in Hollywood."Gov. Palin could match up in intelligence and drive with anyone I know."-- snip --...The documentary attempts to highlight Palins executive experience.
When the state legislature dumped an eleventh-hour budget on her desk in June 2007, Palin stayed up all night and got to work with her line-item vetoes, the film depicts. The movie shows how her tenacity apparently astonished the mainstream media in Alaska.
Several television anchors note in the film that they couldnt believe that she actually followed through on her promise.
"One of my objectives was to drive the stake in the heart of the Caribou Barbie meme," Bannon told The Daily Caller."She is no Caribou Barbie."
...here is a link to the VERY FIRST article (5/25/11) that introduced this amazing movie to the world:Scott Conroy, Real Clear Politics: Palin's Secret Weapon: New Film to Premiere in June
Sarah isn’t putting this movie out - Bannon is and financing it himself. Sarah has no editing rights - It’s all Bannon’s.
A single "market" in this context can have dozens of theaters.
