I SWEAR the left is clueless on any history they don't read in a nursery rhyme.

You would be surprised at just how much quicker those crickets begin chirping when the candidate accused of making the gaffe does not run out to the microphones after every statement to explain what they really meant and when you have followers that will let the issue die by not commenting on it.

You'd also be surprised at how fast the crickets start chirping when it is anyone else but Sarah Palin...

So you think the Massachusetts Historical Society’s records and transcripts of letters Paul Revere wrote and hearings that show Palin correct are .........wrong?//

I see you are the other Palin hater.

I'm sure you can provide examples of my posts which back up that assertion.

Otherwise you should STFU because you don't know what you're talking about.

Zippy.

Obama didn’t need to because the MSM completely ignored the gaffe, as they do all his gaffes. Had Brian Williams, and other MSM slimeballs gone on national tv and ridiculed Obama for the gaffe you can bet Obama would have attempted to clear it up. But Obama knows the mainstream press will gleefully fellate him 24/7, so he can just lay low and let these things pass.

Humblegunner doesn't like anybody but humblegunner. If there's one thing you can say about humblegunner, it's that he is not humble.

If the Birthers spent all of their time sticking up for Trump, his campaign money to democrats, his gaffes and everything else Trump had said in the past, Obama never would have had to come out with a newly released fake Birth Certificate, now would he?

Best to focus on Obama (NOT the "gaffes" of your own candidate).

Let's hope you're wrong. Because if the crickets will stop chirping faster on any other GOP conservative candidate then perhaps Sarah Palin is the wrong choice.

The focus needs to be on Obama, his gaffes and his terrible presidency and not about our candidate being on the defensive about something that happened more than 200 years ago.

Humblegunner doesn't like anybody but humblegunner.

Now, that's just not true.

And he's not a Palin-hater, either.

He just doesn't worship any politicians and can see that they're all humans and have their flaws, just like the rest of us.

Now, I tend to agree that Palin got it right in the Paul Revere statement in a somewhat roundabout way, but I also know that humblegunner is not a misanthrope or anything near that.

One can support a candidate or presumptive candidate without all of the cult-of-personality worship.

That's not the way to handle it...you don't let a smear campaign win just because it is effective...you continually expose it...wherever it shows up. There is also no other candidate that has a syndrome named after them either...a good thing as I see it....

You are so correct... it is always best to use the Bush Doctrine of no defense at all. It worked wonders for his Presidency.

Ever hear of ("BDS") "Bush Derangement Syndrome"?

The antibody against it works ok for the first few years because all of the AM Talk radio hosts go on the defensive.

Bad side effects though... a few years in the candidate forgets how to carry his own water and loses touch with reality up to the point where Rush Limbaugh begins to swear on national radio that he's "through carrying the water for republicans".

Ignoring blatant, and very public, smears is not good stategy, as Bush found out. Sarah is still going strong today because she fights and so do her supporters. We don’t need candidates who are intimidated into silence by the left, allowing them to run roughshod over conservatives. If Bush had fought back, like Reagan did, we probably would not have Obama as prez.

And again, your point was comparing how Obama reacts vs Palin, and of course, they are two completely different situations given how the press treats Obama vs Palin. The Obama stategy of ignoring the gaffe is certainly the proper strategy when the press is also ignoring it. It would be suicidal for Palin to take the same strategy, especially when she did not make a gaffe at all, and in fact, it was the press that gaffed.

You mean that of calling a poster "hater" because he/she is less than worshipful or obsessive of a politician, right?

Bush had his two terms. You cant run for a third. Secondly, the Bush Doctrine that lost for the republicans was the reaching across the aisle and trying to make friends with the democrats

Best to attack the opponent and not give credence to your opponent's accusations of "gaffes" about something that happened two hundred years ago.
