CINNAMINSON, N.J. (CBS) Three New Jersey women are behind bars for a crime, that is becoming more and more common according to police. Authorities say they stole brass markers from the graves of veterans at local cemeteries, and sold the stolen markers to a scrap yard. Authorities tell Eyewitness News the suspects needed drug money.

My incident happened 2 years ago and I know copper theft has increased drastically since then. So it is good to hear the scrapyard is doing the right thing. Or it could be the publicity made them do the right thing.
We’ve been seeing a large number of metal thefts around here as well.
They’re cutting copper out of street wiring in our community. Shor tcircuting the electicity etc.
I enjoy the Pawn shop shows. Most seem to be very respectable in their dealings.
The Pawn Stars episode on last night had a guy who had some matches that featured a strike strip on the Hitler cartoon that you used to light the matches. The Pawnbroker said: “I don’t deal in Nazi merchandise”. But it was a WWII item that made fun of Hitler.
