The scrap dealer, should have just made an excuse, stepped away and called the police at that time.

I was watching "American Picker" one night, and they had found an very,very old cross from a cemetery, can't remember if it had a name. They bought it because of course they could sell at a profit to some decorator, disgusting, and he thought it was cool. Don't watch them anymore

Anyway, I think there really should be a law on dealing in grave markers, just as Ivory tusks. There is no need in anyone owning these things.

The very old grave markers are beautiful and I love seeing them. What despicable people to steal these things.

On the other hand, Rick, of "Pawn Stars or shop or whatever" A guy came in with a Russian Police hat, Rick really liked it so he asked, "Where did you get it"? The guy had stolen it out of a police car while being a tourist in Moscow. Rick just told him, "Not interested in stolen property, no matter where you stole it".
