Until alerted to the problem, city of Minneapolis posted a list of suggested tornado-repair contractors that included 22 that were unlicensed.

After warning North Side tornado victims to avoid "unlicensed, unscrupulous contractors," Minneapolis officials failed to take their own advice and circulated a list that included 22 companies that were not licensed to perform home repairs

I love that the city's "civil rights" department created three lists of contractors featuring small, women- and minority-owned businesses.

There was no regard given to whether they were any good, or even that they were legitimate. Another example of blind, and stupid, political correctness.

Further proof leftards in goobermint can f up a one car parade.

The same city fined a professional tree cutter who doesn’t have a business license for Minneapolis that joined a volunteer group and was clearing downed trees for free.

I wonder how many licenses Mayor RT Bonebrain’s city nomenklatura require to put a tarp on a roof with a gaping hole?

I don’t know about Minneapolis, but I suspect that “licensed” means union-approved.

Frankly, the last people in the world I would consult about a building contractor would be a bunch of government hacks.

This is the same city that ran off a professional tree cutter who spent money out of his own pocket to take his truck and equipment to help residents clear trees - all at no cost - the city not only ran him literally out of town, but sent him a ticket in the mail (fine)... all because he didn’t have a license to do business in Minneapolis...
