Casey Anthony's murder trial was cut short today when she was taken ill after pictures of her dead daughter's skull were shown.
Anthony cried and looked away as graphic photos of her two-year-old daughter Caylee's remains were shown to the jury at the trial in Orlando. Judge Belvin Perry had warned anyone who might become queasy to leave the courtroom before the images were displayed.
Shortly after the images were shown he sent the jury home for the day, asking them not to speculate about why court was ending early.
Earlier in the day Anthony's brother, Lee, testified his sister had told him a nanny abducted her daughter because she didn't think the 25-year-old was a good mother.
Anthony dabbed her eyes with a tissue as a series of images revealed how pieces of duct tape were still attached to her daughter's remains.
She is on trial accused of murdering little Caylee in June 2008, before hiding her body in the woods near her home. Caylee's remains were not found until December that year.

She used the same tissue for the entire day. Very few tears were coming from her eyes and I guarantee you they were for herself and not Caylee.

In one particularly stark and close-up photograph displayed on the court’s nearly two dozen monitors and computer screens, Caylee’s skull — with empty eye sockets and silver duct tape covering its nose and mouth like a mask — seemed to stare out at the courtroom.
“Miss Anthony is ill. We’re recessing for the day,” Judge Belvin Perry announced at 3:30 p.m.
Then this afternoon, a jury expert I heard on the radio noted several signs of sorrow (things like eyelids drooping) NOT in display with mrs. anthony. What this analyst saw was FEAR when mrs. anthony looked at the pictures of her child's skull. It evoked an emotional reaction but not one of sadness/sorrow.
Utz testified that duct tape appeared to have been wrapped around Caylee’s skull so tightly that it held her lower jaw in place even amid severe decomposition, which he called highly unusual.
“Several pieces of silver or gray-colored duct tape [were found] over the jaw,” he said. “I’ve never seen a case where the mandible was found with the skull.”

BUT, why wasn’t the JURY present during this testimony?
Jurors also viewed sensitive photos of the remains depicting leaves, weeds and vines found near the bones. Pictures of Caylee’s skull on an examining table elicited a gasp from someone in the courtroom.
Chief Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Gary Utz offered detailed descriptions of the skull when it arrived at his facility. A photo displayed in court showed Caylee’s the skull, featuring eye sockets and much of the front of the face.
The duct tape shown in the image is clearly in the area of the mouth with hair stuck behind it.
“The pieces of tape were attached to each other,” Utz said. “There appeared to be more than one. I did not separate them.”
He agreed the photos showed multiple layers of tape. Utz also noted it was unusual that the lower jaw or mandible had remained in place with the support of the hair mat and the duct tape.
Utz said that fabric from the tape was lightly adhering to the mandible. He also pointed out that plant roots had grown through the skull.
Casey Anthony remained silent, her eyes shut and head pointed downward during the whole presentation of photos and Utz’s testimony.
Her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, left the courtroom before they showed the pictures.
Perry warned of gruesome pictures
Before calling crime scene investigator Jennifer Welch to the stand, Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry warned the jury that it would see graphic pictures this morning.
He also told observers in the courtroom that if they believed they couldn’t handle seeing photographs of Caylee Anthony’s remains, they should leave rather than disrupt the proceedings.

You bet she’s ill! This is it, folks; she will never be free, and has realized she will be executed for murdering her daughter.
There is a lot more evidence to convict Casey Anthony of murder than existed to convict Scott Peterson of killing his pregnant wife, Lacey. There is no way Kaylee died from drowning.
I don't watch every day, just now and then. One thing that really strikes me is why this creature would assert Caylee drowned when she must have known she'd have to explain the duct tape over her mouth.

Nope never met her. I live in Southern Cali but I have followed this case..she is the classic sociopath, she has no feeling for anyone but herself..its a really sad case, that poor baby girl didn’t stand a chance

Was there evidence in the case to support this? I’m not trying to attack you. I’m just wondering where that information came from.
Ooooooh! She plays a Strat, and ain’t bad lookin’. As I also play a very ancient Strat, in most cases I’d declare her not guilty. But not in this case! An embarrassment to Strat players world-wide!
