Possible Opportunity for Kerry in Clinton Report (possible new SoS???)
Roll Call ^ | 6/9/11 | David Drucker

Posted on 06/09/2011 4:18:14 PM PDT by markomalley

A report that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is interested in becoming the World Bank’s next president could create an opening for Senate Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry (D-Mass.), who has previously expressed interest in the Cabinet position.

A Clinton spokesman denied Reuters’ report Thursday that Clinton is talking with the Obama administration about resigning if World Bank President Robert Zoellick steps down when his term ends in the middle of 2012.

Clinton has made clear that she is not interested in a second term as Secretary of State should President Barack Obama be re-elected.

Kerry’s office was unavailable for comment Thursday evening.

I can’t imagine a single quality Kerry possesses that would qualify him to be Secretary or State, and I don’t care how many years he chaired the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Sadly I would choose longface John over Samantha Power any day of the week. She was the name being floated a while back and she’s a hard core Israel hater.

Well, he did serve in Vietnam. Has the rice scars in his butt to prove it.

Well, he did serve in Vietnam. That’s his catch-all qualification for everything.

I sure hope so. He isn’t in the public eye enough anymore. I get nostalgic for the 2004 campaign, with all the threads about his arrogance, his stupidity, and all those other things about him that made him such a great target for ridicule. Come on back into the public spotlight, John. We need you here on FR.

If Clinton wants the job it’s her’s for the asking.

Zero will then be free to move Biden over to State and select a running mate who will add to his 2012 chances.

I don’t think president Palin or Cain would choose Kerry for some reason

I doubt he’d go in before election. No way he gives up his lifetime Senate seat knowing Obama is on shaky re-election ground.

Get Clinton’s money grubbing, know nothing, little woman out, and move a flaky turd in. These people really care about America.

I can imagine several reasons Kerry would make Secretary of State in the Obama administration.

He has experience——. He Met with Viet Cong leaders in Paris during the Vietnam War , he has worked with Communists before like Jane Fonda. Hell he is John Kerry and he is reporting for duty.

He is servile—He will be up Obama’s bum so far we will be lucky if we can observe his heels.

He is Brave, He got Purple Hearts in Viet nam ,3 of them,, ask him to show you the scars. Well maybe that won’t work, none of them were big enough to leave a scar.He served in Cambodia in secret missions with his magic hat on.

He is smart. He left a rich wife for a richer one.

Last I heard he only had 5 houses, so he is poor like the rest of the Democrats
