E-mails: Palin moved to tie oil scandal to ousted rival
cnn.com ^ | June 10, 2011 | Matt Smith

Posted on 06/10/2011 1:26:40 PM PDT by Berlin_Freeper

The day after Allen's guilty plea, Palin sent e-mails to staffers asking for information on his ties to her predecessor, Frank Murkowski. Palin had beaten Murkowski in 2006 in a primary battle in which she campaigned as a reformer and backed an unsuccessful 2010 challenge to Murkowski's daughter, U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

Aides soon replied that VECO had paid $15,000 to fly Murkowski and Allen to a Council of State Governments meeting in Thailand in 2004. Palin aides also asked Allen to resign from a seat on a state board that cultivated ties with the Canadian province of Alberta, a request to which Allen -- who was later sentenced to three years in prison -- quickly agreed.

Matt Smith, you dolt. You must be so proud of yourself for bottom feeding somebody’s conversations in order to bring them down.

Hope MSMs subscribers drop even lower. And then there is real scandal in the White House, but no one has the time to investigate things that are truly evil?

The MSM just managed to drag Lisa Murkowski's father's name through the mud. He was more corrupt than we had imagined, and, of course, she is too ~ she's been trying to cover all this stuff up.

Well, it's out there and everybody knows Lisa is a crook.

CNN won’t allow comments on this article. It seems to be the modus oprandi of ‘news’ sources when publishing any information that conservatives can easily defend.

CNN, and other DNC minions, will not allow the full truth to be known on any subject, least the minds of the deluded left be enlightened.

Gov Palin was DOING THE RIGHT THING! This is supposed to the ‘gotcha’ news? Please!!

Palin resigned in July 2009, about 2.5 years into her four-year term, complaining partly about a number of ethics complaints filed by her political opponents.

She wasn't "complaining", she was going broke from all the phony laws suits and couldn't be an effective governor. CNN Hacks!

“Palin resigned in July 2009, about 2.5 years into her four-year term, complaining partly about a number of ethics complaints filed by her political opponents.”

This is how CNN ends its brief article, trying to make Palin look like a criminal!! Nope...no leftist bias in the media!

Palin was acting on a conviction to stamp out residual corruption which was accomplished to some degree when the crook resigned.

The MSM is engaged in a fishing expedition trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill for political attacks to benefit Obama.

So unless you can show the MSM scrutiny of Obama to this same level then you have no point.

Does anybody know why these e-mails were released? Was there a lawsuit, did Sarah herself authorize it? Did political opponents leak them?

Why are we seeing this private governmental communications being revealed, and why now? Can we also get access to all of Obama’s records?

And the MSM has the audacity to ask for readers to volunteer to help go through Palin’s e-mails.

In any fishing expedition, you will find something. I predict that the MSM and Hollywood idiot comedians, even those on MSNBC, will magnify any issues found, any misspellings, etc. and simply ignore anything which shows Sarah Palin doing her job as governor. They will ignore any actions she took that liberals would agree with, while hyperventilating and manufacturing mock outrage about any matters which can make Sarah look bad.

Why would the MSM take such interest in the official records of a former governor of a state, a governor who is now a private citizen?????

Wow, how can the media justify running like fools to grab anything they can get and generating biased stories with literally only minutes of time to analyze (if that)?

I just read the comments on Yahoo regarding this story. I was shocked to see an overwhelming amount of comments regarding the bias in the media and the way the blatantly cover for Obama and attack her. I don’t think they realize how much sympathy she is garnering as a result of this. The double standards are glaring. In their zeal to bury her they are outing themselves to the point that even Dems are noticing.

from the article:

Thailand ... okay ... could this be what it could be? More digging is necessary. This could be big on the democRATS and RINOs.

Obama tries to paint every one of his political opponents as a racist for goodness sakes.
