Kasich Plans Golf Outing With Obama, Biden, Boehner
The Columbus Dispatch ^ | June 10, 2011 | Joe Vardon

Gov. John Kasich has a special round of golf coming up.

Kasich will join President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. House Speaker John Boehner as the fourth member in a golf foursome that will take to the links June 18.

Kasich spokesman Rob Nichols confirmed Kasich's place in the foursome, and the Cincinnati-area Republican Boehner said as much on his Twitter account.

Obama and Boehner, both avid golfers, scheduled the golf outing to smooth over some of their differences as they seek a compromise over raising the national debt limit and cutting spending.

That reminds me of a line by “Mason” (a reaper) in “Dead Like Me” trying to come up with an alibi (bowling) after killing a TV director. Link to 3-minute clip:

“DLM” only ran for 2 seasons but easily the best series ever cancelled - HIGHLY recommended! “Daisy, Daisy Adair” is the most gorgeous reaper!

They can play "hide the wienie" for all I care.

ANY Republican who hangs out with our domestic enemies (you know, the ones PURPOSEFULLY trying to destroy our economy and our way of life and replace it with something dark, ugly, and foreign) AFTER work (I don't even like them "reaching across the aisle" DURING work) is a true, traitorous RINO and has NO BUSINESS in OUR party.

*** Will they each have a golf cart driven by a secret service agent? That way maybe they will not get lost. ***

If I was golfing with Barry I'd demand a separate cart. As there's no telling where his ball will wind up. So yeah he would need someone to help him -- if there's bushes or woods he'll be in them.

*** What ever happened to meeting in an air conditioned room with a bottle of Jack Daniels on the table, and solving problem like men instead of 4 wimps out of a golf course that is closed to the real golfers for the day ***

There 'used to be' a saying in Golf, 'You never meet an a-hole on a golf course'. And I found that to be true back when I golfed. People had all the 'Golf Etiquette' in the world while playing. But afterwards in the Clubhouse, some guys started turning into 100% Jerkweeds. This is when I started going straight home, no hanging out for a soda or beer. (I already knew enough a-holes and didn't need to know any more)

But like 'those days' are gone, so is solving things by sitting down over a whiskey and cigar and acing like men.

I agree with you. We need leaders who will treat obama for what he is.

Kasich is probably going at Boehner’s request. Boenher is from Ohio (unfortunately) Zero probably wanted Kasich there to try and bamboozle him because he’s a Republican, and zero fears losing Ohio in 2012. Don’t worry - Kasich won’t cave.

“I have come to despise ALL politicians, with few exceptions. If this is true, then Boehner’s crybaby tears has led him to compromise his principles. Now what???”

Ahhh - the tears. Inquiring minds want to know. What’ve they got on Boehner? It seems news of a mistress started to leak, and disappeared just as fast. Anyone else recall that?

I despise Rebublicrats as much as I do Democrats!

What a poorly conceived idea. Obomba is an enemy of ths nation and its people and the so-called opposition want to ‘play’ with this unconscious Marxist!

In Washington, every step a politician takes has political meaning. What exactly do Boehner and Kasish expect from this kowtowing to the President? How do they expect to benefit? Do they really think that their constituents will appreciate what they are doing? Let’s be frank, Beohner is a failure, and Kasich is the kind of guy who goes to a party and ends up with a lampshade on his head. If this presages anything, it is that Boehner is ready to capitulate on debt, and Kasich is stupid enough to kick away the Republican advantage gained in Ohio.

Finally, I was trying to remember if any Democrat had ever played golf with George W. Bush while he was president. Any help?

Kasich still has time to save face, cancel at the last moment citing the need to attend a plum festival.

Greetings Lancey Howard:

Up until this point democRats killed nearly every bill the Speaker passed in the Senate. And did Ohio’s Governor forget that Pres_ _ent 0bama dispatched his flying monkeys to protest SB5.

Rather than watching pied piper 0bama lead his “Party before Country” lemmings off the cliff, Speaker Bohner and Governor Kaisch are wrestling away the flute from 0bama.

What ever happened to the political strategy: whenever your opponent is self-destructing, get out of the way?

Cheers,
OLA
