NEW CASTLE, Del. -- Delaware police are looking to confirm that Rep. Anthony Weiner didn't send any inappropriate direct messages to a 17-year-old high school girl on a social networking site.
The girl's mother says her daughter, whose name is being withheld because she is a minor, told her that none of the messages she received from Weiner were inappropriate. The girl's family brought her laptop and cellphone to the police station Friday evening, police sources told FoxNews.com.

Hey dad,
How do you feel about ANY 48 year old male texting/emailing your 17 year old daughter?
Let alone a pervert...

Sources say that much of the conversations between Weiner and the high schooler had been deleted from the girl's computer.

I'm guessing the girl wasn't an IT expert. There are so many trails that the computer forsenic experts can check. Not to mention that most of this data (chat transcripts and PMs) are stored remotely. Restores from FB, Twitter will be requested.
He must be panicking.

I seriously doubt Weiner was concerned about age.

I don’t think that there was anything inappropriate in the messages that Mark Foley sent to congressional pages. He simply asked about their birthdays. It was all very veiled.

Every word he typed, every pic he sent is in a database somewhere. FBI techies can find it all pretty quick, once charges are filed.

No worries. Beau Biden is still in charge in Delaware. Recall he was involved in extraditing Larry from DC to Delaware on highly questionable charges following Larry's new conference and just prior to Slow-Joe being announced as Barry's Veep. I smell a no-starter/cover story.

You are correct. A subpoena duces tecum properly served on the ISP nets years worth of what was sent to and from any account. I’ve seen it done. Effectively, barring encryption, ANYTHING you send on a computer may as well have been stated loud and clear in a crowed public place. People are unaware of that, but it is a fact.

So the left's story is that Weiner did nothing wrong because the girl's mother said that the girl said that what Weiner said was not predatory.
Were I the police I'd like to review the evidence myself anyway.

It’s a federal crime. Ten to twenty minimum.

Good thing for Weiner that Twitter doesn’t have any servers or store any information.

Inappropriate exchanges? Why else would he be communicating with her?

"Strong. Large. Cape and tights sh*t..."
Are you kidding me? Can you imagine the uproar if Boehner sent a private message to a 17 y/o girl saying he's "large" and wants to wear a cape and tights?
