Sarah Palin emails: Exxon's stalling tactics called 'outrageous' [ Sarah is tough on Big Oil ]

ExxonMobil has long been Alaskas most enduring villain, thanks to the 1989 Exxon Valdez tanker accident that spilled at least 11 million gallons of oil, not to mention the years Exxon spent fighting devastated fishermen and others in court to avoid and delay paying damages.
Former Gov. Sarah Palin's emails show how much state officials shared in the general outrage over Exxons legal tactics. Having already held the case up in the courts for nearly two decades, winning reversal of billions of dollars in punitive damages by the U.S. Supreme Court, ExxonMobil lawyers in 2008 filed pleadings to avoid paying interest on the $507.5 million they'd avoided paying all those yearsa total of about $470 million extra, in the end.
The arguments are certain to further enrage plaintiffs, said Colberg, who said they included assertions that there was no sound basis to pay interest on the judgment, that all those damaged by the spill had been compensated years ago, and that Alaska spill victims had not won a clear-cut victory in court.
"So it continues
It is no wonder people hate attorneys," Colberg wrote.
Palin punched in a quick response on her BlackBerry: "Outrageous. Unbelievable!" she said. "Glad we have one attorney most folks can like though."

I never expected Governor Palin's e-mails to contain anything the Democrats could use against her with any degree of credibility but I'm beginning to think that they may actually help Palin by showing her to be an honest and engaged governor, working for Alaskans, not being corrupted by power and money. The media fixation on the Palin governors office e-mails is ridiculous and may finally be the tipping point where average Americans ask what is so terrible about Sarah Palin, anyway? That the e-mails will show that she was doing her job as governor but the leftmedia hoped to find 'dirt' with which to smear Palin should disgust any reasonable person.

A governor trying to secure important energy business for her state is not likely to cause her any harm with the general public, despite the “bad hair day” BP was having. Nothing to see here. Really.

That Guardian article really is outrageous!
“The emails suggest Palin’s office was obsessed with BP’s oil and gas production, from which the state of Alaska earns hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenues.”
I would say any Alaska Gov is going to spend a lot of time thinking about oil & gas production.

The leftist media will be even more frenzied and crazy after they invest all their time and money only to see their findings prove Sarah is squeaky clean. They will end up making Sarah even stonger.
The irony is that they wish they had a candidate with Sarah’s character but don’t.
Her very existence is a slap in the face to them because they must work overtime trying to polish their flawed heroes. They spin 24 hours a day pushing Obama and Michelle on us and to cover up for people like Weiner, Rangel, Waters, Bill Clinton, etc., etc., etc.
