Protesters To Call For Rep. Weiner's Resignation
Reported by: WROC-TV

(Queens, NY) -- Protesters are set to gather outside New York Congressman Anthony Weiner's home in Queens on Sunday to demand his resignation.

The embattled Democrat released a statement on Saturday saying he was requesting a leave from Congress to get treatment to make him a "better husband and healthier person." The move comes after top Democratic leaders have called on him to resign and seek counseling. House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi and Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz both called for Weiner to step down over the online sexting scandal.

Weiner remains under fire after admitting last week that he sent provocative pictures of himself to several women over the Internet. Weiner maintains that he has no plans to resign. Sunday's protest is set to begin at 2 p.m. outside Weiner's home in Forest Hills.

A thong of protestors is expected. The exhibition will be brief. Senator Boxer will not attend.

Forest Hills....... never saw a democrat they didn't love or cover up for. Did you know that the vast majority of lemocrats believe their lemoncrat representatives walk on water(bottled water from Washington State or the foothills of the Berkshires

We all agree that Weiner is a dog and should have resigned immediatley, but personally, I think its wrong to protest at anyone’s home, no matter what they did. I’m sure he’s not there and all you end up doing is inconveniencing his neighbors. Go protest somewhere else.

"I think its wrong to protest at anyone’s home"

What if they live in Public Housing (Naval Observatory, etc.)?

Not to worry. The little pervert should be in therapy by then.

He left for rehab. What’s the point of protesting at an empty house?

“ever saw a democrat they didn’t love or cover up for.”
/// great point.
i want to know WHY this unique exception.
sure he’s a creep. but he twitted and sent photos of himself.
MANY in congress have certainly done much worse.

who’s protesting at the home of real criminals like Rangel, or Barney Frank, or MANY others.
and they certainly didn’t protest at the homes of much worse perverts like Edwards, Clinton, Ted Kennedy, etc.

It was not immediately clear where Weiner went or what sort of help he'll be receiving.

Fifteen minutes at some doctor's office doesn't really qualify as 'left'.

I think the main reason that Dumborats want him out, is that they no longer feel that he is useful. If they viewed him as valuable, they would defend him as they did Clinton and Rangel. He is a liability, hence he should leave. Ethics have never had anything to do with it.

It was wrong for unions, etc. to protest outside people’s private homes, and this is wrong too. He has an office here where they can protest, and should he ever actually show his face in Congress again, he can be protested there as well.
