I once got a lot of heat from a freeper because I criticized the moonie connections of the Washington Times...
Even Muslims agree with conservatives and Christians on some things, actually just about any cult does sometimes, probably even the Krishnas.
So you will attack the non involved ownership of the Washington Times and defend Mormonism as a matter of routine.
IMHO Mormonism is not Christianity, it is a cult that comes out of Christianity.
However, leftists don’t make these distinctions. They say the name of Jesus, they read the bible, so leftists hate them. Especially since Prop 8.
While we are saying, “Hmmm... Mormons aren’t really traditional Christians.”, They are saying “Ha! Lets get all the fundies!”
To give an award to a musical making fun of a religious group is nasty. Broadway is very pro gay (I remember going as a child and being amazed that almost every play had a gay crux to it). There were times you couldn’t walk in a theatre without someone sticking a red ribbon on you. By giving this Tonys, the Christian hating entertainment business is sniggering at us.

A good clue to knowing that they will be on a thread is if Mormon is in the title, you can use that information if you don’t like threads about Mormonism.

They too will show up on any thread with the word "Mormon" in the title thinking that they'll earn a special place in heaven if they denounce Mormonism as a non-Christian cult often enough.
I hope you feel comfortable siding with the Broadway crowd that awards and applauds themselves for bashing religion.
You are supporting a cult that strives to remove Christians from Christianity. Broadway is not doing anything that you are not doing here.
Mormonism is an anti-Christian cult that steals human souls, I can’t imagine some one fighting for and advancing those efforts in public writing efforts, and to claim you are doing it in the name of morality and for conservatism is nonsense.

I don’t defend Mormonism. I defend Mormons who stick up for conservative causes. I’m not going to defend liberal Mormons such as Harry Reid and Mitt Romney.
We had a speaker at church this morning who grew up as a Sunni Muslim and became a Christian in high school. He described Muslims as medieval Mormons. :)

On this thread you are defending and fighting for Mormonism itself, the religion itself, not individuals.
That is fine, but don’t start trying to convince people that they are a Christian denomination.
Ignoring them and working for them, is two different things.
People who are skeptical of the media would wonder why the timing to trash Mormonism is so strong right now.
The media attacks Christianity constantly, especially Evangelist Christians which Palin is, they should be doing much more on Mormonism.
OK Let me tell you a story about my grandfather because he was a rabbi in Salt Lake City. One day, a Mormon came into his office and told him that she would not leave his office until he shook her hand. She marked a cross on her hand so the idea was that if he shook her hand, that would somehow be considered to be acceptance of her religion! She refused to budge so my grandfather simply walked out of the office and that was the end of the matter. So yeah, I know pretty darn well that some of them can be a major PITA.
But I also know that my family got along with many Mormons when they grew up there.

They will if Romney is the GOP nominee. But if Palin gets in, they’ll forget about the Mormons and focus on the evangelicals.
If you are Jewish then you probably think that Christians are as wrong as the non Christian Mormons, but if you want to promote Mormonism in a vast sea of Christians, then expect to be called on it.
Christian churches of different denominations are all pretty much the same in having reached the same conclusion about the Mormon religion, it is a different religion than Christianity.
By the way, all of us get along with most Mormons, I even get along with my Muslim neighbors.
By the way, even as a Jew, Christians are of the same religion as you, Mormons are polytheists, that become GODs themselves in their religion.
And the media attacks Evangelicals constantly, we don’t have to wait for a Palin for that to start.
