The Twitter feed of the company that put online 24,000 pages of Sarah Palin's emails for msnbc.com was hacked over the weekend, with vandals posting a series of pro-Palin and anti-Obama messages.
Among the tweets:

"It appears that there is a 'hole' in one of the applications (we think Facebook) that links to Twitter," Art Crivella, founder and CEO of the company, Crivella West, told msnbc.com Sunday evening. "We've disabled them and mopped up the bile and changed all the passwords."

No they are not certain who posted the messages. It could be considered unprofessional for them to make this presumption in the article or the headline.

Are they 100% sure it was a 'hack' or are they just unaware of using hash tags on topics and supporters were tagging them in notes?

I would not put it past them to have done it themselves so as to blame “Palin supporters. Since they couldn’t find any dirt in the emails, they create a fake controversy to at least try to make “Palin supporters” look bad.
