Texas on Tuesday became the first state to challenge the Environmental Protection Agency’s finding that gases blamed for global warming threaten public health.
Gov. Rick Perry and other Texas officials said the federal finding is based on flawed science and would harm the state’s economy.

“The EPA’s misguided plan paints a big target on the backs of Texas agriculture and energy producers and the hundreds of thousands of Texans they employ,” Perry said in a statement. “This legal action is being taken to protect the Texas economy and the jobs that go with it, as well as defend Texas’ freedom to continue our successful environmental strategies free from federal overreach.”

PERRY: Since when did the field of science become the sole purview of left wing politicians? I don’t know about you, but I heard Al Gore talk about man-made global warming so much, I’m starting to think that his mouth may be the leading source of all this supposedly deadly carbon dioxide!
PERRY: Almost every day there is another scientist that leaves the global warming bandwagon but you won’t read it in the mass media out there, because they’ve already invested in one side of that story. When politics hijacks science, it quells true scientific debate and you can have dire consequences for the future.

Perry has never been tested in any of his re-elections in Texas. He has always been the douche running against a turd sandwich. All his opponents have been weaklings.
Perry is a RINO. In Texas most of power is in the Lt. gov position. Perry does have some power which he tried to use via executive order and the Guardasil mess. He got nuked when he tried to pull that stunt and because of that he could not support the anti-TSA groping bill. Because if he did his opponents in a presidential bid can rightly point out that Perry attempted to do something worse than what the TSA does, Perry attempted to force young women in Texas to be injected against their will with an untested drug. Do you see how stupid stuff comes back to haunt dummies like Rick Perry? The Guardasil thing is his albatross. There is no way you can call a man who wanted to force a drug on a group of people a conservative. No way!
Perry will sniff around and make noise like he is going to run but he won’t make any major move until Palin makes a decision. Because if she does run she will bury Perry in any debate. He just is not that quick minded. No, he won’t jump in unless he is sure he is the douche against the turd sandwich Obama.

Perry is good for some things, like Tort reform. but i will vote for a true conservative, or i will stay home.
a Rhino will do most of what Obama would. and we’d get the blame.
But Perry still has far too much RINO to be a comfortable choice.
