First lady Michelle Obama on Monday told a fundraiser in Southern California of the toll the presidency has taken on her husband Barack Obama.
"I see the sadness and worry that's creasing his face," she said to a crowd of about 500 at the Pasadena luncheon organized by the Southern California Women For Obama. She described his worth ethic as “tireless,” according to pool reports.
"He reads every word, every memo, so he is better prepared than the people briefing him," she said. "This man doesn't take a day off."
She said the next two years of campaigning would be difficult for the Obamas and their supporters. "It is not going to be easy, and it is going to be long," she said. "Now more than ever we need your help to finish what we started."
She also mentioned health care reform, the passage of the Lilly Ledbetter Act and the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell. She praised "justice" in the killing of Osama bin Laden, and the withdrawal of troops from overseas.
Guests paid $1,000 per ticket to attend the event. This evening, she will speak at another fundraiser in Westwood.
We need a display calender that has all the golf and vacation days marked

The people that would vote Obama are that stupid. It’s textbook communist behavior, tell the people what you want them to hear, regardless of, and often in direct opposition to, the facts.
Both you AND your stupid husband can go f@ck yourselves. BOTH of you ASKED for this. It's not like your husband is a poor, uneducated coal miner working the only job reasonably available to him and struggling to make ends meet. Now THAT is real stress.

The most encouraging thing for me is that Obama now has a record that he has to defend. Blaming the “evil” GWB won’t sway the independents. It will only play to his base, and they’ll vote Obama no matter what.
There are so many sound clips of him telling America what he was going to do to us if he got elected.
It shouldn’t be difficult to reach the independents. Without the MSM being totally in the tank for him, Obama would be toast.

Hmmmmm. I just told my boss that I was going golfing this afternoon, and that it was a precedent set by our president that golfing = work. My boss said that my trying to claim playing golf as the same as work = unemployment for me. I changed my mind.
I think this is revealing. Apparently, when Obama “works” on his golf game, that’s real work (taxpayer-financed, no less!) in Michelle’s book. For a duo that never appear to have done that much work in ANY job they’ve held, that point of view isn’t terribly surprising.
And the notion that reading every word of a memo then makes you more knowledgeable than the person who actually wrote it is ludicrous on its face.
The only sadness and worry troubling him is not getting a second term to screw things up even more. Can the word "malaise" in one of his speeches be far off?

Westwood is not the working poor
Sadly these people have deceived themselves into believing their lies and think it is the truth. There is no hope for those in that situation as their lies are an addiction and incurable.
The only time the guy’s feet touch the ground is to hit the links or take a tour of some foreign city. He’s on Air Force One flying out of the country most of the time. He hasn’t spent as much time in the Oval Office as the cleaning crew.

She got paid over $300K a year to divert poor patients away from this university’s hospital — not exactly “reaching out” to the community. Such a nice lady.... NOT!
