By now, we lamestream-media bullies were expecting to have an arsenal of IEDs (Internet embarrassment devices) to hurl at our favorite target. But a surprising thing happened after the state of Alaska released more than 24,000 pages of Sarah Palin's emails sent during her term as governor from 2006 to 2008: Like Al Capone's vault, it turned out there was nothing there.
The emails, released Friday, were pretty unrevealing for anybody with a passing familiarity with Palin's career. News reports tell us they portray a governor who was unusually thin-skinned about media criticism for such a prominent politician (how shocking!), an outsider who relied extensively on her husband Todd for assistance (no kidding!), and a "drill, baby, drill" Republican who was surprisingly critical of oil companies (as long as she was trying to extract higher taxes from them in order to hand bigger rebate checks to Alaska voters, that is). All in all, she comes off as precisely what she was: An inexperienced small-town mayor getting on-the-job training in the governor's mansion.

You know that the liberals are just furious because they KNOW that if they could just get their hands on her PERSONAL an CONFIDENTIAL emails, they would show the world that Sarah Palin is the devil in high heels.
The backfire from this could very well launch Palin to places the Left can only imagine in their worst nightmares.
Unintended consequences.
I knew they would find some way to put her down.
Po' thangs. They just can't help theirselves.
Maybe we can take up a collection to help NBC bring Michael Isikoff back from Juneau.
“HOLY FLIPPIN’ CRAP!”
... Palin is truly under God’s banner.
“All in all, she comes off as precisely what she was: An inexperienced small-town mayor getting on-the-job training in the governor’s mansion.”
Can’t find anything in the email, but take a dig anyway.
What I learned from the emails is that she is who she seems to be. The rarest of the rare, a genuinely good person in politics.
“The backfire from this could very well launch Palin to places the Left can only imagine in their worst nightmares.
Unintended consequences.”
Haman’s gallows, union made.
Seeing the forest for the trees, I’d say
the media are one giant gaffe-a-palooza!
Haman’s Gallows?
I see you’ve been reading my prayers.
God bless Sarah Palin!
Let's see.
No backstabbing.
Nobody thrown under the bus.
No sex text.
No graft / corruption.
No bribes / "gifts" etc.
No cheating on taxes.
No unreported rental properties.
Just the business of The State of Alaska.
There is no evidence of a single crime of any kind.
Yeah, I could see how the donk libs would perceive that as "inexperienced."
.
Lol, it was “cain’t hep” in my dad’s family. And no, they can’t. Po’ thangs . . .
“I knew they would find some way to put her down.”
Yep, it just goes to show the lack of intelligence of this liberal moron writer/”word put together” person. Slapping together an article on a Republican can never NOT have a damning line inserted for dramatic effect. Otherwise they would get fired.
LA Times=Paparazzi
I just read the same memos.
And “amen” to your prayers!
;-)
The article is actually mean and snide, even though they didn’t find anything, beginning with that comment, “Like Al Capone’s vault, it turned out there was nothing there.”
The writer tries desperately to turn this into a smear job, but is forced to resort to the usual undocumented personal insults.
Sarah Palin’s emails must be compared to Senator Obama’s to make a full assessment.
All in all, she comes off as precisely what she was: An inexperienced small-town mayor getting on-the-job training in the governors mansion.
Compare to a similar sentence:
“All in all, he comes off precisely as he is: An inexperienced community organizer trying to get on-the-job training in the White House.”
Two big differences: The first sentence you read in the media, other you never will, and two: I’ll take the results Sarah Palin got for the people of Alaska over the results “achieved” by the other person any day.
Ahhh, that darn Sarah Palin, the bumbling-evil-genius-doofus (having taken the baton from Reagan and W) has once again flummoxed the MSM with a grand display of her calculated blockhead master strategy and ruthless, conniving, cutthroat incompetency, dazzling everyone with her well executed stumbling borne out of mentally arrested blind brilliance and abashedly inferior superiority.
The counter-Alinsky backlash has begun. The craven opportunists in the media look like vultures and vampires, and in the meantime Sarah only need whisper to carry her message far and wide.
Suckas.
True enough - thanks for the vetting, leftist media!

"If there's anything surprising about the emails, it's that the Palin who thinks her state's proximity to Russia enhances her foreign-policy expertise, or who makes bizarre rambling speeches about Paul Revere when caught without a prepared statement, isn't in evidence. Or as Palin herself would put it, there were very few "gotcha" moments to be found."
They keep trying to reinforce their unfounded criticisms of her. Alaska's proximity to Russia, Canada and China HAVE given her and every other Alaskan Governer foreign policy experience, and she has been proven historically correct with her statements regarding Paul Revere.
Riiight.
And Obama not getting on the job training in the most important job in the world?
He’s never run anything except a senate staff, and that was overseen by his chief of staff.
He also can’t count.
Haman’s UNION Gallows... LOVE IT!

FATHER GOD... Like Haman, please bring down our
enemies by their own devices. (The Book of Esther)
IN JESUS NAME!
Sarah Palin is our Esther ... “for such a time as this”.
Heh....I could almost hear my granddaddy's voice while I was writing that ;-)
How many first term governor’s have had governor’s experience before being elected governor?..............
Isikoff filed a pre-story that I happened to see last week when this story was first mentioned. He did his standup at the Juneau airport, positively drooling over the prospect of a racy story or stories. Now he’s trapped; no story.
Can’t we all have pity on this bug-eyed honk ?
They threw a load of crap at the wall hoping something would stick. Unfortunately for them, there was an industrial fan between them and the wall and the crap came back and hit the MSM right between the eyes! SPLAT!!!
Annoyingly snarky article.
The refrain from Palin’s most ardent detractors is that all of the good stuff has been redacted.
Here is one thing the “lamestream” media just doesn’t seem to be able to understand — It is not that they wanted to sift through Palin’s emails from her time in office. That is a valid activity for journalists. The problem is that they do not apply that same journalist responsibility across the spectrum. They seem totally incurious about Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al. How many other politicians have they subjected to the same scrutiny as Palin? None.
And THAT is the issue here. Duplicity. Hypocrisy. Partisan demagoguery. An essential failure of “journalist” standards.
The Media will soon vilify these pristine emails as proof that condemning emails exist.
Like many History Channel experts like to say ... “the very fact there is no evidence proves it exists”.
HAIR ON FIRE!
I've been thinking the same thing for days now. PDS never sleeps.
Couldn’t the media even find an innocent misspelling? Fire the person running the spell checker.
So what were we expecting? Somebody dumber. Editors, bloggers and producers were doubtless rubbing their hands in glee on the expectation that the unfiltered thoughts of Sarah Palin as expressed in her email messages would be at least as idiotic as some of the unfiltered statements that come out of Sarah Palin's mouth when she's in front of a camera.
This is the best the left can do - and it is pathetic. Because they have no choice but to admit the e-mails held no evidence of anything worthy of condemnation and/or investigation, they resort to essentially stating that, well, at least Palin's e-mails weren't as dumb as she is. An absurd contradiction that only serves to give the Los Angeles Times editorial writers a thin justification to add snarky asides, i.e. "she comes off as precisely what she was: An inexperienced small-town mayor getting on-the-job training in the governor's mansion". As an astute Freeper posted earlier in this thread: what first-term governor isn't getting 'on-the-job-training'? The leftmedia's inability to do much more than throw ineffective editorial spitballs at Sarah Palin is proving their growing irrelevancy and loss of power to choose and elect (or defeat) political leaders. They couldn't stop Reagan and, if, as I hope and pray, Sarah Palin decides to run, they won't stop Palin.
“absence of evidence is not evidence of absence” is the phrase you are looking for............
... absence of evidence is not evidence of absence ...
I like that and will use it.
Hubby and I laugh every time we hear HT Egyptologists
and Archeologists use “lack of artifacts” to defend their
implausible hypothesis ... eses.
(Oy!)
It amazes me how things that MIGHT be bad, always turn to Our Sarah’s advantage.
I can’t help but believe, as many of the regulars who post here, that God is protecting her, and is doing so for a reason.
Much as it was believed that Pope John Paul II was “Our Lady’s Pope”, I wonder if Sarah will become “Our Lady’s President”?
As an aside, I’ve been looking at the comments posted from readers at various news outlets on the “Sarah’s Emails” story, and it is interesting the numbers of posters who say they don’t really like her, but nevertheless are convinced the MSM is “persecuting” her.
Straight from the Rules for Juvenile Journalist Twits Handbook:
"When an argument is completely lost, sling dirt."
But, but, but — she’s so DUMB, she didn’t attend any schools with ivy, she’s from some far away state that doesn’t seem like America... That’s what those faux journalists are whining about on the east coast.
I think you are right about that.
And to peer through the mists to try to see Russia.
