Former Arkansas Governor and former Presidential contender Mike Huckabee sent an email to supporters of his HuckPAC blasting the left and the media for their overeagerness in digging through the thousands of emails from Sarah Palins Governorship released recently. Huckabee practically praises them for their ability to distinguish Palin as above the clamor as she could be while fighting off attacks about her family.
Using an excerpt from The Huckabee Report included in the emails, Huckabee says;
"You almost have to feel sorry for all the reporters and leftwing bloggers who spent the weekend slogging through 24,000 pages of Sarah Palins old emails from her years as Alaska governor. They thought they were going on the ultimate Alaskan safari, hunting for anything remotely scandalous or uninformed or even ungrammatical that they could attack Gov. Palin with. But to their shock and grief, their partisan animosity backfiired. So far, aside from some justifiable anger about unfair attacks on her family, theyve found nothing but thousands and thousands of dry government emails, to and from a perfectly-competent chief executive. You know, I used to be a governor. I know how deadly dull those emails must be to anyone who wasnt involved in the business they concerned. Thats why I almost feel sorry for the people who volunteered to read them. Or I would, if it didnt serve em right for trying so hard to play gotcha.
"Oh, they did discover some emails that were ridiculous, loopy and downright insane. Problem is, those came from their own side. Some people were actually so discombobulated by Gov. Palins nomination as Vice President, they emailed her rants that included death threats. I hope those were investigated with even half the fervor that was put into examining Sarah Palins spelling."
Huckabee trying to be nice to the next POTUS.
Huck is a horse’s petut.
I wonder if he and Palin have smoked a Peace Pipe.
Best,
Chris
Huck buckin’ for a VP slot. No thanks!
Does he want to run the Bureau of Prisons in the Palin administration? LOL
Sarah Palin will be the strongest candidate for exactly this reason. Whoever is the Pub candidate will face a media jihad once they have locked up the nomination. With Sarah they have already looked under every stone and found...nothing. What else can they do to her?
“What else can they do to her?”
Make up a story about a pubic hair on a pepsi can.
George Stepslkdjklfuoih was on BOR tonight....man is he sacred of Sarah Palin.....you could see it in his eyes...
Dunno but there's one incontrovertible fact...Huck despises Mitt Romney. Huck also went after Tim Pawlenty's campaign staff today.
Interesting grist for the mill.
Hmm....
“man is he sacred of Sarah Palin”
Did he have a statue of her that he was worshipping? ;^)
Hmmm. Most interesting commentary from Huckabee. Smarter than a certain sock puppet and campaign manager - ventriloquist.
If Governor Palin should decide to run, she does have this advantage.
Sarah Palin, is the only candidate who has been thoroughly vetted with absolutely no stones left unturned in her public or private life, no matter how personal. This exhaustive vetting has been done relentlessly and without stint over a three year period by, Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angles Times, Time Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Newsweek, Huffington Post, USA Today, Boston Globe, Politico, Miami Herald, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Boston Herald, ABC, CBS, CNN, HLN, NBC, MSNBC, PBS, NPR, Fox, also, by many other newspapers, magazines, and TV outlets, too numerous to list.
Barack Obama, is the only candidate who has been thoroughly vetted by, “NONE OF THE ABOVE,” not even remotely.
She may have just pi##ed away a bunch of money while executing her first executive decision.
The DU’er types are RABID and incoherent in their hatred of Sarah Palin and her family. They seem to think it makes them look intelligent to hate the Palins. It’s pitiful and ignorant.
If Huck were to endorse Palin, I suspect Iowa is a slam dunk. Palin may win anyway, assuming she gets in. As an unannounced candidate, she’s a solid 2nd to Romney in the most recent Iowa poll I’ve seen.
I can’t help but think MB will self-destruct before it is over.
Does anyone but be find it odd that nobody is questioning her credentials? I remember them harping on the fact that Mike Pence [and others] was just a Congressman and had no chance unless he went back to Indiana as Governor first. Mike Pence was a good guy and a very solid conservative...maybe that’s why they shooed him away.
Do a search on my screen name. I've been taking a beating today for doing just that. I think I make a damned good argument. :)
Sorry, I didn’t mean here, beancounter.
I meant the empty talking heads that keep trying to push her.
I know you are solid.
Great screen name, BTW.
BTW, this Huck business today adds to some some other interesting tidbits floating around out there, such as Rick Perry having a private meeting with Rudy Giuliani tomorrow (per Politico) and Mark Levin revealing on his show today that he talked with Donald Trump by phone. He has blasted Trump for months but today he praised trump as a "gentleman" and said he doesn't think Trump will go 3rd party.
Levin also spent the better part of his first hour tonight chastising the conservative candidates for not going after Romney. He was not very happy with the debate, calling most of it "superficial nonsense." He said if conservatives can't draw sharp distinctions with Romney, he will win because of name ID and money.
Last night she made a big point of saying she had challenged her party "in private". Yeah, right.
I’d vote for a Palin / Huckabee ticket in a second.
This might be a very good thing.
Levin. Trump. Palin. Huckabee. Good momentum.
At this rate, it will be the Rino’s attempting to form a third party.
Some tea? :)
Have no idea what’s going on but the “DC outsiders” may be talking to one another and that’s a good thing IMO. Somebody’s got to stop Mittens from being annointed. It ain’t any of this current bunch in the race.
Rudy Giuliani ain’t a social conservative, but he doesn’t like Romney, either.
The left views her as Sarah-lite.
They once made fun of her almost as badly as Palin.
MB hires Rollins, who trashes Palin. And MB stays silent.
MSM suddenly changes its tune on MB, calling her a front runner.
MB is playing all nicey nice with Romney.
MB will repeal Obamacare, but won't say a negative thing about Romneycare.
Something stinks, here. And remember, the MSM LOVED McCain, until he was nominated, and then they threw him to the fire while building Obama.
MB and every other candidate had better prepare themselves to be torched.
Palin, OTOH, has been through Hades and back with the MSM. She's been forged through media fire and come out stronger than ever.
I had predicted that Huck would endorse others before Sarah, and that he would only finally endorse her once she won the nomination
I still believe this to be the case, but I truly hope to be proven wrong!
Did you see Trump’s interview on Hannity tonight?
Would be fun if he got behind Sarah when she announces.
You got it right absolutely!!!
MB biggest support comes from MSM/Rep establishment, they only have 1 shared goal, and that`s for MB to somehow prevent Sarah from running.
These next few weeks are going to be tough to take because MSM/Republican establishment are all in for Bachmann. The msm polls (msm includes Fox and Rasmussen) will be coming out with bogus polls, they will probably have her ahead of Sarah. These will all be lies, just like Frank Luntz phony focus groups.
Hannity seems to want to have MB on a lot as well.
Hopefully MB will fizzle fast, she is just trash as far as I am concerned, I will never vote for MB
Didn’t see it but I know Trump likes Palin, a lot. In NYC, Palin hauled Trump down to Times Sq. to eat pizza. They could have hit some trendy Manhattan eatery, but this was in front of the whole world. I don’t think that was an accident. Messages needed to be sent. :)
The very next night on Fox, Palin talked in strong terms about a 3rd party if the GOP didn’t shape up.
Did she mention her 23 foster children? I only heard her say it 3 times in the debate last night.
Charity is supposed to be in secret no? I do not find her genuine
I hope Mark Levin wakes up to Bachmann, soon!
She sure plays him. She came on his radio program during her last campaign crying, “the meanies are out to destroy me” and his listeners sent her a lot of money. That along with the money Sarah drew for her meant a lot last time.
Doesn`t Mark know that she hired Rollins to trash Sarah? I thought he knew this, not to mention MB camp has been back stabbing Gov Palin for some time now.
Agreed.
Just saw Frank Luntz focus group on Hannity. They played a sound bite from her and when she mentioned the foster kids, the dials went way up for dems and pubs. Some stated they didn’t know she had done that. I think when everyone hears it 5,000 times they will get sick of it.
I was doing a little research on her. She had all of those kids in a 6-year period. She said they all had their chores and the big ones tended to the smaller ones. She took them in because ‘her heart just broke for those disadvantaged kids’. Guess she got the disadvantaged-kid situation solved because she hasn’t had to take any in since.
I know of people who take in foster kids just to get government aid...it is quite profitable for them. Not that I am insinuating anything...
Huckabee seems to me to be a fine human being. As with Palin, there are some folks that he couldn't please no matter what he said, even if he said good things about Jesus Christ Himself.
You might not have noticed, but he's saying positive things about Palin.
I guess that probably makes you a Romney supporter.
Bachman is in this race to blunt any effort by Sarah Palin. I suspect she’s got back channels to someone who doesn’t want Palin in the race.
I wonder if any of these candidates is going to be honest enough to say that if Obamacare is not found to be unconstitutional and if CONGRESS does not repeal it, that their sworn duty as President, if elected, will be to ENFORCE it?
Presidents can't repeal laws. They are, however, bound by their oaths to enforce them.
“Id vote for a Palin / Huckabee ticket in a second..........This might be a very good thing.”
I agree with you, but I don’t think Huckabee is interested in running. When he dropped out...he did it for real, and not to jocky for a VP slot.
Sarah is looking better to me everyday. Also, I’m starting to see a real intelligence/cleverness in her that the press is to foolish or biased to see. She may well be America’s first female POTUS. She will never be a “Ronald Reagan” (but Ronald Reagan wasn’t the “Ronald Reagan” that time and fading memories have made him - he was a great POTUS though). After having Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama as presidents....I’m willing to take a chance on a Sarah Palin. I just hope she doesn’t surround herself with fossils for key advisors as President Bush did.
Don’t know, haven’t gotten to listen closely to Mark the last few days. I sure hope he is on to her. Last I noticed, he was still praising Sarah, MB, Cain, and Santorum.
“You might not have noticed, but he’s saying positive things about Palin......I guess that probably makes you a Romney supporter.”
No, there are just some folks that hate Huckabee. Personally I think most are libertarians or just anti Southerners or anti Southern Baptist. IMO.
Whatever, I’m glad Mike got out because I got sick of all the trash folks talk about him. I give a little pass to those that didn’t like the pardons that went sour, but I think they carry that grudge a little too far.
Thanks for the info, all in a 6 year period, and some time ago. How long will she milk this for?
Not a fan of Frank Luntz, he has an agenda, he always has more dems in his focus groups. I personally believe that he knew he had a MB friendly group going in to this session, and in fact that was his plan.
MB implies that the former Alaska governor should hold off on any kind of White House campaign while she still had children in the house.
In a video from last weeks Faith and Freedom Conference, Bachmann tells conservative Christian activist Ralph Reed, Weve raised a lot of children, five biological children, 23 foster kids, Bachmann says. This fall our youngest two will go off to college, so were coming to the conclusion now of 29 years of parenting, and I think thats one life lesson that you learn. That sometimes you have patience and wait to do certain things in your life.
She was also talking to Ralph Reed and here is the video:
