Romney won’t allow the subject of religion to be discussed, except tolerance for Islam.

The plan seems to be to marginalize social conservatives with the accusation that they are hypocrites because they whine about the prejudice against Christians, while they criticize Mormons. He will use it on all social issues, not just religion. Every time abortion or gay marriage comes up, it will be depicted as those religious hypocrites making noise. It’s already started with Peggy Noonan, last week, along with a couple of others that I don’t remember.

The way the campaign for the nomination goes is the top vote getting candidates move on and the ones below the top 2 or 3 see their vote totals decline and drop out or suspend their campaigns. So if he is not in the top tier, he will drop out like everyone else. So in deciding where to put his voters, I conjectured where they might go if/when Paul drops out. But you could be right and he will be a poor sport bitter ender?

How can anyone conduct a poll on people who have not declared for a race?

Could be, so I would not argue if you said don’t allocate his support to either side.
