Disgraced Democrat Anthony Weiner is set to dramatically resign today in the wake of his sexting scandal.
He made the decision after having 'long discussions' with his pregnant wife, Huma Abedin, who arrived back in the U.S. from a diplomatic trip to the Middle East and Africa this week, friends said.
Democrats have been piling the pressure on the congressman to resign for days in order to save the party, not to mention his own family, further embarrassment.

Does resigning still leave him vested and eligible for his government retirement pay?

I read that he is still eligible for a pension...$37,000 a year starting at age 62.
