Everyone get with the program. The future apparently lies in “meaningless” rioting. Redistribute the wealth or destroy it, I guess.
Example of brain dead fools.
I don’t understand. Gather up these morons and send them to Syria or Libya...of course that might insult the Syrians/Libyans fighting in the streets.
Having lived in Detroit I know:
You riot when you WIN!
Having lived in Detroit I know:
You riot when you WIN!
take that Smart car
My guess is that the thugs were ready to riot and especially, to loot, win or lose! Are they just copying the spoiled youth in many places?
The incriminating photos are hilarious, including the dude holding a match and a rag to the police car’s gas tank filler.
http://vancouversun.com has lots of photo links.
I watched quite a bit of it live last night,
I was struck by the simian nature of these
protestors actions. The jumping over fires,
the posturing, Look at me, etc. the hooting
shouting and senseless destruction all to
create an image of superiority among peers.
Heard some protestors or yutes claim that
the first truck torched was brought there
just for that purpose by it’s owner.
The police were very slow to act although
their tactics were effective. Still, letting
the mob do millions of dollars of damage first
doesn’t make much sense. Plenty of video evidence
should bring some of the perps a wake up call and
LOL...I know it’s wrong...
1- this is not the first time...they also had huge riots in 1994 when the canucks lost the cup to the NY Rangers...
2- isn’t Vancouver the most liberal of all the canadian provinces?? (quebec excluded).....didn’t they have the fiercest anti-iraq war peace protests??? constantly burning GWB in effigy???
ah- the irony....
Notoriety is the pinnacle of success to the YouTube generation.
Number One: Lack of Dads.
Number Two: Lack of Dads.
Number Three: Lack of Dads.
Number Four: Lack of respect for marriage. (Have to say meaning man-to-woman thesedays, sadly)
Number Five: Lack of respect for family.
Number Six: Lack of respect for property of others.
Number Seven: Secular education and secular socialization.
My team won/lost!
Let’s break stuff! Woo!
I just hope karma is around the corner for these idiots.
As some here say, it seems that a lot of the trouble makers were there specifically to cause trouble. (Most were just drunken louts; some came dressed in the black uniform of self-styled anarchists.) They are not sports fans!
One thing I noticed, while watching the riots on live TV, was the number of cellphone cameras in play. Most of the crowd weren't actual rioters. They seemed to be hanging around to watch the fireworks — and take pictures. My guess is that there were, at least, 10 cellphone cameras for every criminal thug rioter. A quick search on Youtube produced 1,810 hits for “Vancouver riot 2011. I expect that there are thousands more to come. A lot of the rioters were clearly performing for the cameras.
It's simply the outcome of liberalism.
I think the new concept is that Rioting IS Winning.
It makes the most hopeless situations FEEL better.
According to a certain friend from Santa Rosa, CA, “B.C.ers” have had a reputation for being rude and crude for a long, long time.
I’ve never been there.
My perception previously was that this would be a pretty decent locale.
Of course I assume alcohol and grass had some influence too.
Rioters - like looters - should be shot on sight.
“Redistribute the wealth or destroy it, I guess.”
That’s exactly how the French Revolution went. The bottom of the gene pool is still muddy.
Hell,..Chicago got wrecked when the Bulls won the first time.
Vancouver is a city. It’s in British Columbia, a province.
They "celebrated" for all six Bulls championships. The first one was the worst, the last one wasn't too bad.
P.S. I was happy that Miami beat the Bulls in the playoffs.
If I were the police and the authorities I’d be looking at as many pictures and videos as I could and planning to arrest and prosecute as many as possible that I could positively ID. From what I’ve seen that’s a pretty decent number.
An entitlement mentality, in this case people encouraged to believe that the Stanley Cup somehow belongs in general to Canadians and this year specifically to Vancouver, meeting reality. Enjoy the results.
I think the are lot’s of WTO nut cases in Vancouver....just looking for a reason to riot.
I’m sure that adds to it. But it fits the simple pattern also of entitlement mentality meeting reality.
Everyone get with the program. The future apparently lies in meaningless rioting. Redistribute the wealth or destroy it, I guess.”
I’m thinking this was instigated to instigate a growing sense of fear in the citizenry. Pick what ever side you want for responsibility. It’s becoming increasingly obvious.
Please excuse my bad syntax, I wasn’t paying attention.
Vancouver...Put. Those. Bricks. Down. Rioting is for closers.
Maybe so....But they all seem to fit the pattern of young anarchy types...like flippin Ayers and his main squeeze.
So...why doesn’t anyone have a TAG LINE on this thread?
TMML. Out. Loud. Well done! Enjoy your steak knives.
These look like the same anti-capitalist rioters we’ve seen over the years at various G8 meetings and such - most probably pay no attention to hockey, they just took advantage of an opportunity to play Visigoth for a night. :)
