Strong and enthusiastic support does not equal "worship", just because Palin haters say it does.
Criticism of other candidates by Palin supporters doesn't automatically equal "bashing" simply because Palin haters say it does.
I will also add that, not all criticism of Governor Palin is hateful. There are those who simply don't "get" her. No politician has ever closed the deal with everyone.

Sounds like a Daily Kaos DU poster. A statement that cannot be backed up with a link. Read the thread with an opened mind; it is sickening. It is lies about Bachmann no one can back up and people actually thinking if Bachmann is called articulate it is a media trick to get rid of Palin and promote Bachmann or other ridiculous wild conspiracies.
It is out of hand.

Poster RED SOUTH only reported things which I've seen repeatedly posted on FR. I'm sure if you did some digging, you'd find the links to back it all up.
Perhaps instead of being so reflexively defensive of Bachmann, you should take a closer look at her documented history. That's what public records are for.
I am not digging for what some have called statements from the huffypost. RED SOUTH was asked twice to provide links to no avail and you telling me to search FR and that you have seen it posted ALL OVER FR, does not make it so.
Her hesitation also makes me think of something else. I feel like she’s got this conflict that I’m not convinced she’s reconciled: the price her family will certainly have to pay if she runs, and the price America will pay if she doesn’t. I honestly believe she may be in her own garden of Gethsemane praying, “God, if there’s any other way, let this cup pass from me.” I’ve been praying that she will take the next step: “Not my will but Yours be done.”
That's an honest concern, but do remember that Todd Palin recently said that his family was ready, and that they'd already been through the fire (in so many words).
Sarah has repeatedly said that she would step up to the plate if it looked like no other qualified person was going to. Well, now's the time for her to look over the field of likely contenders, and see if any of them meet her definition of "qualified".
She's too upstanding and moral of a person to look in the mirror and try to convince herself that anyone out there measures up to her. She can't do it, and I trust that her recognition of that stark fact will cause her to do what she knows she has to do.
That's true, but RED SOUTH is a respected member of this community, and I trust that he wouldn't simply make crap up about Bachmann or any other politician.
I take him at his word, but if I so desire, I know that I can root out the source of every charge he made. So can you.
Let's hope so. Such is the substance of my prayers for her and our country.
You know it just now occurs to me again, the uncanny parallels with Reagan and Palin. Reagan's crucible came in the sixties when he was approached to run for CA Governor. He hesitated. I think he knew once he did, he'd be doing it for life and he wasn't sure he wanted to be a career politician. But he also prayed and became convinced that this was what he should do and wanted to do. Once he made that decision, he gave himself completely to it and there was no looking back. It's possible that Palin saw the AK Governorship a little differently, that it might be for a season, I don't know (seems like fate as much as anything brought her into the national limelight in 2008). But I think she knows this is for all the marbles and for her, there'll be no looking back either.
May God help her and us all to do what we must - our part in this critical time.
May God help her and us all to do what we must - our part in this critical time.
Sarah has said that she and her family have prayed for guidance on the question of whether she should, or shouldn't run for president.
As with Reagan, I believe that she will see that which she cannot avert her eyes from....her country needs her. The call to duty is sounding, and she must answer it. I truly believe she knows this in her heart.
I'm sorry you're frightened, but maybe you could let those of us who support Palin find out for sure whether she's running or not before we deal with a Plan B. Personally, I believe wholeheartedly that she is running, and I have several pieces of evidence to back that up so I don't see any reason to contemplate a Plan B at this point.
I really can't figure out why everyone is so antsy about this. There is plenty of time before the first primary. I think Sarah is pretty smart to let some of the chaff drift away before she gets in the race. There are a few other logistical reasons for her to wait as well. Some of them have been discussed on this thread. I don't look for her to announce until at least August.
I think you’re right.
I agree. I believe this is her destiny. What an awesome task - she isn’t seeking it, it is seeking her.
Can you imagine? She must go to sleep each night, feeling the thoughts of millions who are nearly begging her to follow the destiny that's calling her.
That alone must be a special kind of burden to her, but I feel it's one that she can carry. It will lift immediately on the day that she announces, and become the air beneath her wings.
