I think he actually reached -10 right after Osama bin laden. Now it’s back to his usual territory.

This is a steep drop and is continuing. I wonder what caused it. The slide may stop this week end. If it continues he will have to leave the country to stop the slide.

They guy is an empty shell. He has no inner reservoir of political experience - NOR INTELLIGENCE (ala Clinton) - to turn himself around. He is a political buffoon that snookered less than 5% of the electorate to sneak into the WH.

Not to worry. Already planning an African safari--on our dollar, of course.

That his approval is still this high is a testament to the degree to which our citizens are brain dead, and is frightening. I hear all these dim Dems like Debbie W-S spouting and spinning, and I wonder where in the h#!! they sprouted from.

More than likely it was the poor economic news and the uncertainty about the possibility of recovery.

He reached -7 a number of times in May. On June 9th he was -9. Then the floor fell out. Next day he was -15 and falling.

I don’t recall any major event happening around then, but I think the public looked at the economic numbers and is starting to realize the guy doesn’t know what he is doing and that his campaign promises were just “hope.”

Also, they are finally seeing he doesn’t have his heart in the job. His hints that one term might be OK with him and his family. Eighteen holes a day is starting to look pretty good to him.

He’s a lame duck.

To add to your fine comments: he also had Soros et al behind him, his political machine knew how to control the outcomes in caucus states, he used political correctness to keep anyone from really looking into his background.

Someday, someone, most likely after he has left office, will write the definitive study about him-and we will realize how he snookered a vast number of Americans. People on this site were discussing his left wing background months before the election. Oh, and the author or authors of this study will be one or more investigative reporters working for a non-USA newspaper or other type of media.

But with a campaign spending promise of One Billion Dollars Obama can give $100 each to 10 million people to vote

Or $100 each time someone votes...

Either way

Here's the historical daily data: CLICK.

Obama last touched -20 in his Approval Rating on April 11, but it was a quick downspike and rebound. The current decline seems to be settling into a new "trading range" -- the last six Approval Ratings (each of which are based on 3-day rolling averages) are -18, -18, -17, -19, -19, -20. This is Obama's worst multi-day stretch since March, and it threatens to become his worst since September, '10.

Gallup has what down to 39%? According to what I see Gallup has Hussein's approval at 45% - same as Rasmussen.
