Defense Minister Ehud Barak says the PA should not object to Israeli construction in Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem because Israel will just hand over anything in areas ceded during talks, anyways.
"There's a reality on the ground and natural population growth. People need to build kindergartens," Barak said, noting another construction freeze is not possible.
"But why should the Palestinians care? If a building is constructed on land that will be transferred to them under a peace agreement, they will get the building, hence the issue if of no significance," Barak argued.

Easy to say. Japan was an island nation that got too big for its britches. Easy to conquer. Easy to reform. The Muslim world is one humungous chunk of land mass and demographics slung across three continents. And their heads have been stuck up their asses for so long, to them it’s fresh air and sunshine. Helping them has turned out to be a losing proposition. Conquering and reforming them would be at least as bad, if not worse.
There isn’t going to be a peace agreement, Barak knows it, so this is just thumbing his nose at the Palis.
I would agree on 1, but disagree on 2 and 3. Barak and Peres are up to something bad.

Yup, you’re right. Time for the Israelis to go Biblical on the Palis once and for all and rid the world of them.
