Marman was in San Francisco to attend the funeral of his best friend. Before he boarded his flight on his way back to school, three US Airways employees reportedly asked Marman to pull up his pants.
What happened from there isn't clear.
Police Sgt. Michael Rodriguez said Marman, 20, told airline officials he didn't have to. Marman said he told officials he would as soon as he had a free hand. All we know is one thing led to another and the next thing Marman knows he's calling his mother to tell her he's on his way to jail, not campus.
But the story is a lot more complicated than Marman's sagging pants.
It's about abuse of power and the stupidity of youth.

Besides, in an incident earlier this year, Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington got into a verbal spat with another passenger on a United flight. Huffington was removed from the plane after she ignored the flight attendant's request to turn off all electronic devices, yet she avoided handcuffs. If violation of a Federal Aviation Administration law concerning the safety of the aircraft isn't enough to get someone arrested, how did saggy pants get Marman in handcuffs?

Very predictable: There is obviously no father in the picture. And why is such a young man going to the funeral of his "best friend?" Friend was killed in a gang/drug altercation, would be my guess.
College and pro football are now full of thugs. A cop told me that both the NBA and NFL contain members of the well-known urban street gangs.
I hate that snap when they flash their boxers. And I don’t care why they do it. Just pull your pants up!!!
I’m sure there’s no possibility that he mouthed off.
He probably felt “dissed”, which for ghetto people, triggers the fight or flight reaction. He was outraged that somebody had the audacity to tell him to pull up his pants. An incident was provoked by his reaction, which in turn led to law enforcement getting involved.
We can read between the lines and figure out what probably happened. Ghetto behavior just isn’t acceptable behavior outside the ‘hood.
This guy would be a safety hazard in the event of an emergency that required rapid evacuation of the plane. He would be tripping over his pants and endangering other people.
Would they let me wear downhill skis or snow shoes on their plane? Isn’t that my right? Or how about my Michelin Man suit?
Remember the old days when black guys would wear those 10-inch platform shoes? They’d do a crime and even the fat cops could chase them down.
I find it hard to believe the narrative that this story is about the abuse of power and the stupidity of youth.

I hate those sagging pants crap. But it’s not against the law so airport employees had no right to force him to pull his pants up. In my day poor kids, me included, had baggy pants because they were hand me downs. Guess today I couldn’t get on an airplane.
Some bimbo made a big deal about getting kicked off a Southwest flight a few years ago because she had something offensive on her t-shirt and wouldn't change.
Prolly wudda pulled his pants up by hisself if a few pretty girls wudda just started laffin at him.
Get use to it Marman, this is the new world order being orchestrated by Obama.
You have no rights, when told to perform-you perform.
They weren't just baggy, they were purposefully pulled down BELOW his butt. At least in YOUR day, you tried to hold up your pants with a belt or a rope, etc.
I think it was that she was dressed like a slut and they told her her skirt was too short. Of course that was followed on here with a chorus of “I’d hit it”, but her attire was entirely too revealing.
Husband and I went out to eat one time and some kid (actually not sure if he was an employee) was getting silverware from the bin and his pants actually dropped to the ground. It was hilarious. I really wish every time I saw one of these idjits with the droopy drawers that I could cause something to make them run (and didn’t have a hand free to hold the pants up) just so they could learn a lesson.
Obama/Holder Dept of Just Us to investigate airlines
Racism Is Rampant At Nation's Airports
"White folks complain about a little voter interference," says DoJ spokesman. "This is real crime."
baggy is not the same as saggy and the flight attendant were bothered by his dick bulge and ass crack not his couture.
