A whole lot of words expended to try and convince people that the reason isn't just plain cattiness.

It didn't work.

I agree with you Happy. I don’t want Sarah to run in 2012 for two reasons: 1) all the RINOs and PDS idiots will attack her based on the progressives’ and lsm’s “talking points”, and 2) (real reason) she will be ten times more effective as an outsider bashing the marxists and anti-American leftists trying to undermine our republic! Any real conservative who doubts her commitment and credentials is a moron! (Yes, there are conservative morons just like there are liberal ones, bless their retarded little minds!)

...most women have an unexplainable hate for Palin.

It's not unexplainable. It's jealousy.

Calling women catty and telling them that they couldn’t possibly be as pretty as Sarah Palin or that they are jealous isn’t the way to win over minds for your candidate.

You're right. A lot of people get really upset when the light of truth is shined upon them.

Gravitas- “It may be translated variously as weight, seriousness, dignity, or importance, and connotes a certain substance or depth of personality.”

She resigned as Governor - she let them back her down. She has a mother’s heart and is vulnerable. She needs to be able to feel the pain and yet continue on unwaivering on the course that she has set as a leader.

We’ve learned from Obama that just some politician can’t do the job. It has to be someone with Executive experience who can keep a firm hand on the rudder of his administration’s ship of state. It can’t be someone who allows themselves to be handled. It has to be someone who can set aside ego and emotional attachments and make huge life and death decisions as our commander in chief. It has to be someone who can keep a firm upper hand in diplomacy like Bibi Netanyahu.

I love what Sarah has to say. She is full of energy and can rally an enthusiastic team, but I don’t think she is seasoned enough to be able to make the brutal decisions she would be called upon tio make as President. She’s just not a heavyweight.

As for the other candidates in the field. Well I am still looking. Haven’t found any that fit the bill yet.

I think Governor Palin is outstanding! I also believe that her caution in one of concern for her family. I fear only that she won run because this woman would whip Obama's ass in a debate. I think she would have him stammering quite quickly, you know...the way he does when he is searching for just the right word (afraid to offend someone). Without those prompters, he is nothing...someone writes every speech (to his understanding of government) and he merely delivers it, in his eloquent manner; and some union flunky takes corrective measures to keep those prompters working. However, I think America is finally waking up. It is getting serious folks!

So...this is one old Conservative woman that truly believes Sarah Palin would make an excellent opponent for this incompetent, arrogant president.

And just in case democRATS are trolling this site, it has nothing to do with the color of his skin, it has everything to do with his socialist ideology stupid.

You just described Governor Palin to a T.

She just thinks her guy would hit on Palin if he had the chance.

Insecure.

"Not only has she not ripened in poise and communication, but she has left behind the fresh-faced natural beauty we fell in love with when she was on the stage with John McCain in 2008. Our bespectacled wonder has been traded in for an overly coiffed, stiffed-faced...well, stiff. One wonders if she is capable of having a voice true to herself in the midst of fitting in."

...all commentary on Gov. Palin's behaviors, not inherent looks.

And commentary that calls for discussion as to whether Mrs. Palin is able to be herself while also "fitting in" as she moves forward. Before most FReepers had even heard of Gov. Palin, I had remarked that "maybe it's beauty queen poise training that allows her to handle fish like a pro," but I know that many are disappointed at how she's acted lately and might believe she hasn't "ripened in poise and commmunication" like had been hoped.

If Mrs. Palin has more than beauty behind her, then why can't that be the focus of a reply to a column on her other characteristics?

I don’t have time to read all the posts but I will tomorrow.

But Jennifer Granholm faced many of the same problems in Michigan.

I hope that there are Wolverines who will weigh on this to give up their version.

Granholm was a very pretty, youngish candidate and from what I read, it didn’t poll well among women. Women are often catty and jealous. This isn’t a news flash; I’m a female and I can tell you this is absolutely true. Even if they agree with her on everything, there are plenty of women who are interested in tearing another female down. Believe me.

For this reason, it was decided by her campaign people that they should “shoot” her commercials in black & white, rather than in color. B & W made her appear more serious, less pretty. And most of them were.

And she won the election. Sadly, her leftist ideas (right from Canada) nearly put the state on life support, since she is as dumb as a bag of rocks.

But that is how they got her in.

Did you even *read* the article?

It was a bunch of caterwauling about Palin based on a caller to Rush Limbaugh that most women who are under an "8" on the hotness scale are too damn jealous of Palin to see straight.

This poster is either a paid Romney hack or Rush's caller scored a direct HIT.

You can read my "corrected" version of the article here:

A Jealous Woman's Problem with Sarah Palin (rejoinder to Linda Fritsch)

You are either dishonest, or illiterate. Neither one is attractive in a FReeper.

Fritsch has a rare diversity on the national scene that is marketable for books, television, radio, and public appearances.

She sells herself as a "token black conservatism" but then spouts MSM talking points.

We have enough RINOs in the party without her, thank you very much.

And if I want a genuine black conservative, I'll go with Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams or Clarence Thomas.

Cheers!

Tell me...you don't think that "overly coifed, stiff-faced" is something to do with behavior!?

And this is after she points out that the woman's "fresh-faced natural beauty"?!

If he can't even rear up on his hind legs to the wussified likes of Mittens, no way he'd ever, EVER be able to do so versus Obama. Pass.

He may not do lip stick and distract us with personal media wars

Limp attempt at boosting timorous, squeaking Pawlenty via a little freelance PDSing. Epic fail.

Calling women catty and telling them that they couldn’t possibly be as pretty as Sarah Palin or that they are jealous isn’t the way to win over minds for your candidate.

These women aren't rejecting Palin on the basis of logical analysis and reason.

Mrroww Ffffft.

They're jealous, just as Rush's caller pointed out.

Case in point, my wife.

She's 5' 9", blonde, leggy, and has an IQ > 140.

But for some odd reason, she adores Palin.

QED.

Cheers!
