What do you think of NBC's decision to cut the words 'under God' from the Pledge of Allegiance during a patriotic video aired for the network's US Open coverage? It's offensive! It's not patriotic if the network is rewriting the Pledge! It was the right thing to do, since there should be true seperation (sic) of church and state! It's not a big deal either way

These people get paid to write.
How’s that sexting poll working out for ya? =.=
Now Bashing Christians network removes “under God” from pledge.
Thanks to Dynachrome and Gopher Broke for the heads up.
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin, if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
Im handling Dynachromes FReep a Poll pings until he returns. Errors and omissions during that time are solely my fault and should cease upon his return.
I voted, but the middle choice is leading right now. Strange indeed.
Are you comfortable with how much sexting is integrated into society?
Huh???? This is HUGH!
I don’t think anyone is surprised at what these Communist do..And that is the reason the place is going into the toilet they are without values..
A society that ostracizes God from its public discourse is incapable of maintaining its integrity.
So like, NBC thought nobody would notice?
I’m sorry... it is probably me but I see a sexting poll but not one about NBC.
They thought golf was too worldly for the religious.
I’m sure this will become commonplace; I can’t believe they apologized.
Choice #2 apparently defines golf as a government activity.
Here’s the right one.
Since I haven’t watched anything on NBC in about 15 years, including their “news shows,” I have absolutely no opinion on it, and couldn’t care less.
I expect that within the next few years they’ll merge with Al Jazeera and be broadcasting the call to prayer five times a day, and General Electric will be telling us how peachy that is, and I won’t care then either.
I can’t turn them off any harder than I already have. Pfft.
Thanks! I voted.
Well, to be fair it was broadcast on State-controlled media.
Socialists and Communists hate God, so it’s perfectly understandable that MSNBC would do this. That being said, Socialists and Communists should not be permitted to breath free American air on American soil...
No surprise. NYC is Godless.
I don’t do recreational drugs like 73% of New Yawkers so can someone explain how this was “true separation of church and state”. Is the government subsidizing the stupid golf tournament or the morons at NBC?
Something is seriously off about this poll.
Our country is going to hell really fast. Needs FReeping really bad.
It’s offensive! It’s not patriotic if the network is rewriting the Pledge!
It was the right thing to do, since there should be true seperation of church and state! And I’m so [unladylike word] stupid that I can’t even spell separation.
I’m completely clueless that we’re losing our country to a bunch of godless marxist pigs.
Lean Forward, and PUKE!
“Something is seriously off about this poll”.
I agree. I remember a poll (I think yesterday) about issuing an apology and the majority said NBC should (I want to say like 80% if memory serves me). The numbers on this poll seem off. If the poll is a true and accurate statement about society, I am very troubled by it.
I think most of the country is OK. The urban centers, probably not so much.
Your commentary always cracks me up.
Commentary? It’s mind reading! I know what they’re thinking. [cue the Twilight Zone music]
Really! ;-) Thanks.
Ditto that!!! If this poll is even close to accurate we are in serious trouble.
73% say it was the right thing to do! Yikes ~ idiots.
I’m flabbergasted at the response on that poll... Despite people’s feelings regarding the “under God” part, a TV station should not take it upon themselves to change the pledge. Absolutely wrong for them to make a political/social statement like that during an INTERNATIONALLY televised event, or during ANY event for that matter!
The leftist atheists must have anti-FReeped it.
Just voted. Can’t believe that 74% said it was the right thing to do to have separation of church and state. I wouldn’t be surprised if this poll has been fixed.
The 74% have separation of mind and reason. Possibly caused by too many hallucinogens in the 60s.
we should cancel our comcast subscriptions and switch to AT&T or Direct TV or whatever.
Better yet, get rid of TV.
I haven’t done it completely myself :)
