Gunmen from across the Rio Grande fired at U.S. law enforcement, instigating the second cross-border gunfire exchange this month, Rio Grande Valley news outlets said Monday.
No injuries were reported from the brief gun battle, which broke out Sunday morning after police chased a truck loaded with marijuana. The smugglers threw bundles of drugs at them, then drove into the Rio Grande and splashed back to Mexico. Police fired back in response to shots from the other side.Mission Police Chief Leo Longoria told The Monitor in McAllen a woman who drove a second vehicle toward police during the pursuit could be charged with evading arrest and assaulting a police officer.

Those Border LEO’s need a “Ma Duce” to quiet things down a little.
Keep it up Mexican A-holes,, we are going to have a president again soon.
They must be trying out their new guns courtesy of Holder.
Hey, maybe we’ll get lucky and the Mexican Mafia will cause us to militarize our border!
Send the TSA Blackshirts to the border.
SUV mounted 50 cals would do the trick.
The world must be thinking that, just because we have weak links in our governmental officials, the American citizens are weak. Maybe they need to read up on our history.
I’ve already pinged my state rep about this and asked if we can put a couple of AH-64’s to fly CAP over any future drug interdiction missions on the border, with clear ROE’s and pursuit guidlines...
His response was...
We do not have the money, neither state or Federal funds to do that, much less the political will to answer these attacks with even an appropriate response...
He also said it is going to take a massive loss of life on the border that can be directly attributed to the criminals taking over the area before anything will be done on our border...One or few muders of our citizens on this side of the border is not going to do it...
Then I told him that it is NOT going to be public sentiment that is going to put massive amounts of firepower and the will to use it to get this problem under control...
I was thinking more along the lines of 25mm Bushmaster or a 120mm Smoothbore. We need armor and attack helicopters along the border.
Wouldn’t the 120mm “Smoothbore” be overkill?
How much kinetic energy can a ‘grass truck’ absorb before the projectile exits the truck and continues downrange?
The 120mm can shot HE, HESH, and WP, too.
Shake and Bake with some mixed HE and WP might teach these people to behave properly.
Thanks for the correction. I also forgot that crews in AC, with the capability of accurate fire while moving in the dark would be useful.
