Jeb Bush: No run in 2012, but I don't rule out 2016 (RINOs want a third Bush) (BARF ALERT)
BBC ^ | 2011-06-21 | Katty Kay

It is a truism of political dynasties that there is a chosen heir - the one who should or would or could have been next. It is certainly apt of the Bush family.

Jeb Bush is the son who was groomed for the presidency.

He was the one most Republicans expected to succeed his father into the Oval Office.

And today, looking at their, let's be frank, lacklustre field, many Republicans still wish he would do just that.

"It's very flattering to be asked that regularly," Jeb tells me in his office at the Coral Gables Biltmore Hotel.

"I don't wake up each morning saying, 'Oh, wow, it's me. I think I'm the cat's meow. I'm the best'," he adds.

"There are great candidates running and my guess is that one of them will be president, and I'll be supportive."

What Jeb doesn't say is that the current Republican field would look very different if he were to run.

But I can't tell you how many Republicans tell me, forget the name, they just wish Jeb Bush would run.

Seriously, people!

We have a Marxist in the White House, the country going down the tubes, and this thread and its disparaging remarks is your contribution??

I would vote for almost anyone over Obama next year. So far, all we’ve got is a field of weak candidates. Jeb Bush isn’t even running.

Cut the crap and get focused. If it makes you feel good, you can spill your bile on the Bushes after 2012.

Then we’ll just have to make sure we re-elect President Palin in 2016. And it would be my honor to Jeb’s mother Barbara the best humble pie she has ever had.

That kind of attitude feeds right into to what the Republican elites want -- you'll vote for whomever we give you and you'll like it. They tried it in 1996 and again in 2008.

Open-checkbook Bush was driving when this economy started over the cliff. We don't need another Bush to finish the trend.

Between George 1 and George 2, Jeb is probably the best of the Bushes, but he’ll never get a chance to prove it. I like Jeb - voted for him to be Gov. of FL twice when I lived there, but I wouldn’t vote for him to be POTUS no matter when he runs. America just has Bush fatigue - myself included.

Okay.

The posters on this thread disparaged Jeb Bush.

So you respond by criticizing the posters for disparaging Jeb and then YOU disparage the "field of weak candidates".

LOL!

Anyway, I say let's throw Palin into the field and let's see what they all have. And Jeb should shut his mouth about 2016 when we need to concentrate on, and win it in, 2012.

No one is looking for this guy to run except Rove and the Bush’s. Go ahead and run Jeb. You will find yourself out there in Huntsman walking dead territory. No support.

BTW, screw you Katty Kay. You are a leftist Obummer sycophant. Why don’t you keep your Commie views to your side of the pond you dim wit.

Jeb in 2016? That just proves the Bushes are hell-bent on making sure Obama wins in 2012.

And that's why their tools are out in force against Sarah Palin. She is the only one who can defeat Obama (and she will).

Open-checkbook Bush was driving when this economy started over the cliff. We don't need another Bush to finish the trend.

Long before, when the Democratic mob took control in 06....All due to leadership with no rudder, no direction, no conservatism, which allowed evil, leftists and worse to gain control of everything, right down to the oval office.

I believe none of this was a fluke, or accident...It left America hopeless, as the political insiders looted the middle class, private sector, leaving tens of millions to pay for their insider private agendas and intentional mismanagement, which made a few wealthy beyond belief.

This is absolute Jeb-code for telling Republicans to throw the ‘12 election to Obama.

It’s the “globalism” thing.

Open borders. One-way trade with China. Open borders. Amnesty. Open borders.

Have you forgotten already, Bush accused those wanting a secure border “vigilantes”.

Yeah. If you want to call it BDS, have at it. Go right ahead.

I believe none of this was a fluke, or accident

To quote Judge Judy: "Follow the money."

Who got rich or richer from this economic mess? Who made out like bandits in the payouts and bailout? Many of those on Wall Street and those running the banks and corporations that were 'financially broke' got a heck of a lot of money for their incompetence.

WE GOT TOOK.

GW and BO were signing the checks to pay off their cronies who were laughing all the way to their offshore bank accounts.
