WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama's "evolving" stance on gay marriage was headed for a high-profile test Thursday as he prepared for his first-ever fundraiser for gay donors just as New York lawmakers maneuvered toward a historic vote legalizing gay nuptials.
The outcome of the negotiations in Albany, the state capital, remained uncertain, but the vote could occur just hours before Obama's event Thursday evening in New York City.

I was listening to a news broadcast, and the reporter said the majority of Republicans are against the same-sex bill.
So he said they could vote to NOT bring it out of CONFERENCE, which means the bill would be killed, and he said there’s nothing Cuomo can do about this.
To reiterate, please tell pro-traditional marriage people that you know to call their Republican senator in NYS to vote to NOT to bring the bill out of conference for the purpose of KILLING the BILL!
You can email them now, and call them when their offices open. Calling is better, of course.
If we kill the bill, it will buy us more time to make our case before the evil doers come back to haunt us.
