Nixon Library eh. Wish we could have been there. Last time we were at that Library they were undergoing major refurbishment. The place was a mess, but that was a number of years ago...like eight, or ten years.

We came away from our visit wanting “Just Joey” roses. We found them, and the ranch is loaded with them now. Wondering if they still have them in the Rose Gardens there. Beautiful roses. We had quite a show of them this year here at the ranch.

She’s a regular guest appearing on TV with people like Sean Hannity, Greg Gutfeld and Glenn Beck.

She’s joined radio hosts like Dennis Miller, Curtis Sliwa, Mancow, and many more.

She hosts The S.E. Cupp show exclusively on Glenn Beck TV.

An accomplished author, S.E. has written two books. Her first book “Why You’re Wrong About the Right” came out in 2008 and attacked many cultural misconceptions about conservatives. Last year she released her second book “Losing Our Religion: The Liberal Media’s Attack on Christianity.” She has also written columns and articles on such respected publications as Townhall magazine, Politico, Washington Post, Newsmax, Human Events, American Spectator, and others.

Of course, as with all Troopathon guests, S.E. Cupp is an ardent supporter of our troops. Sacramento, CA. - Move America Forward, the nation's largest pro-troop grassroots organization, is preparing to host a start-studded live show that helps send care packages to American soldiers overseas.

Hosts Melanie Morgan, Roger Hedgecock, Andrew Breitbart, and S.E. Cupp, will be joined by big-name guests like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Dr. Laura, Former President George H.W. Bush, Gary Sinise, Kelsey Grammar, John Ondrasik, Mike “Coach K” Krzyzewski, Presidential Candidate Michele Bachmann, Dennis Miller, and many more.

Troopathon IV: "Remember Their Sacrifice" will be broadcast live from the Nixon Presidential Library on Thursday, from 1-9PM PST.

Nixon Library eh. Wish we could have been there. Last time we were at that Library they were undergoing major refurbishment. The place was a mess, but that was a number of years ago...

That was probably when the new wing featuring the East Room was being added.

However, sad times have befallen the Nixon Library. The private Nixon Foundation, which ran the library until 2007 foolishly decided that year to make the library a part of the Presidential Library system administered by the National Archives. They did this to get President Nixon's presidential papers which, by law, are held by the National Archivesand Records Administration (NARA).

However, this move proved to be a Faustian bargain. When the government took over, a new director was installed who turned out to be a Nixon-hating leftist who is doing all he can to trash President Nixon's legacy. Nonetheless, the Nixon Foundation still maintains its headquarters in the building and administers part of the facility, including the president's birthplace, while NARA maintains the galleries and the archives. The Foundation continues to sponsor programs at the library, including the Troopathon.

Both NARA and the Nixon Foundation maintain offices under the galleries. The two sides are as different as East and West Berlin. Nixon pictures and signs greet visitors to the Foundation side, while a portrait of President Obama welcomes visitors to the NARA offices. Except for perfunctory greetings and shop talk, NARA and Foundation personnel rarely socialize or converse with one another.

Wondering if the gardens are still maintained. They were a reason to return, and time and again return of which my wife and I have stated multiple times we will, but haven’t yet.

We go past Yorba Linda several times a year as we travel from our home in Riverside to Harbor City to have any of our 3 SAAB cars serviced at S.C.C.. We like to stop, shop, or visit say the Nixon Library on the return part of the trip. Makes for a nice day trip.

Laura is helping the troops by assisting our campaign to send care packages. The troops are fighting a tough war to keep America safe, a war on two fronts, in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Today I am attending the funeral for one of the greatest patriots you could ever hope to meet, and I wanted to briefly tell you a little about this man: Vincent Florian.

For nearly seven years I've served as the Director of Care Package operations for Move America Forward, the largest pro-troop organization in the country.  During that time we assembled and shipped over 200 tons of care packages that were received by hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops serving overseas.

During this time one of our most loyal volunteers was Vincent, or as we called him, Vince.  He and his lovely wife, Barbara, would come nearly every single day putting together these care packages - never receiving a dime's worth of compensation.  They volunteered because they believed in the greatness of our American military men and women.

You see, Vince was a veteran himself.  He served in the U.S. Air Force, including service during the Vietnam War, and Vince saw first-hand how U.S. Troops got caught up in the politics of war - spit upon and attacked by some Americans who took out their frustrations over the politics of war on those who wore the uniform of the U.S. military.

Vince vowed that no U.S. Troops would ever have to face such treatment again.

There's something else you should know about Vince - he was diagnosed with lung cancer.  And so, in the final years of his life, even as he struggled to gasp for air and find the energy to even move, he would still come nearly every single day, working on these care packages.

Last week, Vince breathed his last breath of air and passed away.  Today is his funeral, which I will be attending in Dixon, California.

During his funeral, several hundred miles to the south, Move America Forward will be hosting their 4th annual TroopAThon - raising money to send care packages to our troops.  Vincent would have loved to be there, but now someone else will have to step forward and take his role of supporting our troops, while Vince watches from the Heaven's above.

One of the things Vince liked to do best was to repair the personal fans we'd ship to the troops to keep them cool. The fans would sometimes get damaged in shipment, and Vince was determined to repair as many of them as possible since he knew the temperatures our troops were facing were over 100 degrees, and that was oppressive when they were already wearing 75+ pounds of body armor.
