Bulger, Girlfriend Arrested Wednesday After 16 Years On Run
Fugitive accused mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger was grinning in his booking photo, according to a source close to the investigation.
FBI agents arrested the 81-year-old Bulger and longtime girlfriend Catherine Greig, 60, in Santa Monica, Calif., late Wednesday after receiving a tip and setting up surveillance. The pair had been on the run since 1995.
The FBI said that they would not release booking photos of the pair, but a source close to the investigation who saw the pictures said Bulger had a full beard and mustache, glasses and was bald except for hair on the sides. He was wearing a white undershirt, a white buttoned shirt with no collar and a white hooded sweatshirt.
The source also said Bulger had a big grin on his face.
Greig has white hair pulled back in what appears to be a ponytail, and was wearing a pink v-neck shirt. The source said she was not smiling.

He got 20 years of freedom he wouldn't have had otherwise, and at 81 it really doesn't matter all that much where you are.
Gee, I wonder if they are going to cover the fact he got away with the help of his brother, the then-head of the Democrat party of MA.
He murdered Roger Wheeler in Oklahoma. We have the death penalty. Send him here to fry.
I posted on another thread that Dennis Miller said that the reason they couldn't find Bulger all these years was that he was hiding on "Hardball".
I thought Miller was just joking about Matthew's ratings, but I had forgot that 1.) Barnicle is an occasional sub (how's the malaria, Chris?), and 2.) Barnicle always sucked up to Boston's ne'er-do-wells.
Total kissup and fool.
Never mind. I thought this was another thread about that A.Weiner guy from NY.
Wasn’t he known to frequent gay bars and bath houses?
Local LA news reporter saying that he may be back in Boston by Friday AM...
I’ll bet ya he has dementia.
