Chicago Police Chief Garry McCarthy told parishoners at Saint Sabina Church earlier this month that the easy availability of guns in the United States is the extension of a tradition of "government-sponsored racism" that began with slavery and Jim Crow.
McCarthy -— like many urban police officials an advocate of strict gun control -- was speaking at a liberal, activist church whose priest, Father Michael Pfleger, drew national attention for mocking Hillary Clinton in 2008.
"This is sensitive. You know, because everybody’s afraid of race. Have you noticed that? Everybody’s afraid of race," McCarthy, a former New York and Newark police official said. "So here’s what I want to tell you. See, let’s see if we can make a connection here. Slavery. Segregation. Black codes. Jim Crow. What, what did they all have in common? Anybody getting’ scared? Government sponsored racism."
"Now I want you to connect one more dot on that chain of the African American history in this country, and tell me if I’m crazy: Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centers across this country, that are killing our black and brown children," he said.

McCarthy said, recalling back from the scene of a crime to switch on the television and find "Sarah Palin's Alaska" showing.
"She was caribou hunting, and talking about the right to bear arms," he said. "Why wasn’t she at the crime scene with me?"

Because you are in Chicago, home of thousands of crime scenes and she is in Alaska where there are very few.
One word for this Police Chief. You are one stupid mother trucker.
Official note: Chicago Police Chief Garry McCarthy is a “racer”, and should be referred to as such in the future when he speaks or is identified in public.
One definition of a “racer” is someone who cites racism in non-race related subjects, to bolster their otherwise weak or irrational arguments.
In his case it is even worse, because he is either afraid of black people armed to defend themselves, or he wants them to be dependent on the police to protect them from violent criminals, but otherwise helpless.
Chicago is currently experiencing a spate of attacks by criminal black mobs against innocent white citizens.
Yet this police chief won’t even mention this phenomenon.
That’s your “government sponsored racism” right there.
He certainly is off to a bad start. A few weeks ago Chicago had a few warm days, but not scorchers. There were some beach closings by the police because a few people fainted due to the heat, or so they say. Some people present at the beach posited the real reason was because roaming bands of thugs were causing problems.
Honor students have been jumping on the good citizens in the downtown area recently, and the city, along with the lapdog Chicago media, were trying to keep a lid on the flash mob incidents.
This guy is a politician, not a cop, so he has to contort himself to stay in the good graces of city hall and the fake reverends of the city.
