Thanks to Frank Morgan and all the other great vets and serving members of 82nd Airborne All-American Division who had have stood up for us and performed the crazy-brave act of jumping out of perfectly good airplanes into the face of certain danger to protect our Freedom! Where would we be without them? I shudder to contemplate it!

It's beautiful this time of year but gets much better - most of the perennials are not quite there yet. Even in the Dog Days of August, we have beautiful flowers in bloom here - it's all a question of selecting the heat and drought resistant varieties.

Having to make some adjustments in my garden this year - lost a favotite Old Rose and most of my Lilies this winter - also had a sumac volunteer and choke out a Clematis before I could get to it. But life goes on - daylilies are coming into their own and I have some new things to plant. Circle of Life and so forth.
