Sounds like your plants are going great guns. Sorry you lost a favorite. I lost one mini-rose bush. It just couldn’t take the heat after the really bad freeze it survived in the winter.

Some of the Old Garden Roses are done for the year as far as blooming - still have some that will continue. The rose I lost was Madame Hardy - a Damask rose of 1832 hybridized by a gent named Hardy. It gave me many years of valiant blooming and I will find a worthy replacement - probably from among the modern David Austin English Roses - they are all reliable repeat bloomers and he won't introduce a rose unless it has a great fragrance.
