First, alcohol rarely enhances the thinking ability of anyone.

Well, there is a question what constitutes a "large quantity of ammuninition"?

To some, even having a spare magazine or a 20 round box of pistol cartidges is a large quantity.Never mind the officers usually have a pistol magazine filled with 15 to 19 rounds and one or two spare magazines.

Now was this guy pro- or anti- muslim?

Was he studying to become muslim or reading about the threats of shariah law to non-muslims?

Sloppy, incomplete reporting is standard these days;actually digging out the facts might interfere with the journalists' leftist agendas.

That’s my highway pistol. It’ll also go through the various parts of a car as well, in case the bad guys are behind “cover.” (They thought.)

I’ll go out on a limb here and say that this guy was probably not a convert himself but had the displeasure of learning someone close to him did or was going to.

Obviously the ammo was there because that was his hobby.

His obit at the bottom of reply 8 might interest you.

According to the obituary, the man "passed away unexpectedly." Funny stuff!

Gonna guess this guy had a CZ 52 with surplus ammo. Steel core 7.62 x 25 will trash a DOJ IIIA rated kevlar.

Could be. Also, potentially, a FN 5.7.

Shouldn’t there be an anti-cop freeper in this thread claiming that the ammo was planted?

There would be but for the Koran.

Korans are like kryptonite to cop-hater FReepers.

If I remember correctly, it was an AR (maybe AK) pistol variant chambered in 7.62 x 39 that caused the old Norinco steel core ammo ban.

He!! this happend 5 miles down the road from my house. Wauna is a town of maybe 500 on a two lane road up in the hills, in the middle of the piney woods. The gas station in the background is where I gas up every week. The fact that he had firearms and ammo in his truck is not unusual in the area. Taking the gun with him when he exited the truck was his fatal mistake. Anyone getting out of a vehicle during a police stop, with a gun in hand, and moving in your direction should rightly be considered a lethal threat. Good reaction by the officer, bad and obviously suicidal move by the driver.

“Ammo, sword found with man killed by Tacoma cop”

So he was going to shoot them with his sword?

Or the other liberal statement, cop killer bullets. I really hate that statement. Bullets kill anyone if they hit the right place.
