After sustaining an open chest wound of 10cm long while trimming her horse’s mane, Sweden’s emergency response services refused to send an ambulance, suggesting the 11-year-old girl take aspirin instead. (Snip) The resulting gash to her ribs measured 10cm long, and according to the girl’s mother, was substantially open, reported Sweden’s national newspaper Svenska Dagbladet (SvD). The mother phoned SOS Alarm, the government-backed primary emergency response service, and described the child as shaking because she was in so much pain. She requested an ambulance because she did not have immediate access to a car. The responding nurse refused the dispatch.

Under a private system you would have the recourse of taking legal action against the nurse that declined treatment. Under a nationalized system the nurse is a government employee engaged in performing a government function so suing them for negligence would be suing the government for negligence and therefore would not be allowed. Just something to think about.

In the US you can still sue the perp if you can show that they acted outside the boundaries of their duties, and thus were not "engaged in a government function."

Alternately, if you can show that the "government function" was deficient, excessive, or not legal, you can fight unlimited numbers of government attorneys and appeals processes until, if you win, the government will be ordered by the court to... change their policies. And you're out your damages and costs.

This is what happens when you reverse the sovereignty relationship of the government and the people through corporate dominance. Hell, this is WHY people strive so hard to reverse it. Except that the US is the only place it's actually reversed, which is why we have so many mealy-mouthed, lying liar legal experts here. In other places, such as Sweden, they don't have to lie - the people are the open property of the government, no matter what they're called.

Instead she advised the mother to clean the wound, apply pressure and give her daughter aspirin which would give them eight hours to get to the nearest hospital, according to SvD.

Aspirin! That's the ticket! One should always give blood thinners to profusely bleeding indivduals!

It's a wonder the "nurse" didn't suggest sprinkling the wound with salt & powdered sassafras bark, then binding it with fresh spider webbing...while chanting a few runes for good measure.

When the government controls such things as healthcare, expect your continued existance to depend on your political value.
