Liberal friend:OK..she did a good job in Alaska, but can she run all 57 states???

Just talked with a good friend of mine, but sadly very liberal -- seems irreversible -- told her about the great reviews for The Undefeated, Sarah Palin documentary - her record in Alaska - and I tried to explain to her that she should at least get informed about Sarah before calling her the wilderness barbie.

She then said: OK so she did a great job in Alaska, but is she able to run all US states (in all fairness, she did not say 57..). These people have an answer for everything..darn! What would you say to that - besides telling her that she voted for the one who had so much experience..? I need help here with my liberal friends.

Why not point out that there are “about” 50 different governors who job it is to run “about” 50 states.
It is NOT the job of the President to “run” “about” 50 states.
The President has his/her(?) OWN responsibility. Your liberal friend should read up on it.

The space of Alaska occupies most of the rest of the US combined and is responsible for the strategic defense of our borders against attack from Russia, China, North Korea, etc.

First, a President does not “run” all fifty states. We have fifty states governors who might not cotton to that notion.

Second, a President runs the Federal Government as its Chief Executive.

Given that Sarah ran against a corrupt Republican regime in Alaska and then implemented policies with a reinvigorated GOP thus giving her the highest approval ratings of any governor in living history we could only be so fortunate if she did the same things in Washington.

Well if she admitted Palin did a good job, then ask her ‘No one can know if she will or not. Before getting the job, there is no candidate that we can ‘know’ will be good in the position or not since by definition, they never held the office of president before. But since we can agree that want people who do “good jobs’ in their prior positions running the country, I’m glad you’ll join me on election day in Voting for SP ;)

I don’t think comparing to Obama’s experience will do any good. My response would have to do with the blatant corruption and cronyism that has been present in Washington for many years, but has accelerated under Obama to ridiculous degree. Then, I’d show that Sarah Palin is the ONLY one with a record of fighting such corruption.

I’d also remind her that it’s not the president’s job to run all the other states. Governors do that.

If she is willing to question Mrs. Palin’s ability to run the country after having *only* run a state (a microcosm of the U.S.), and be unable to see the irony in her having voted for a guy who had no experience running anything at all (as you noted), then she won’t hear anything you say.

Sadly, with ones like her, if she ever comes around, it will likely take something horribly extreme to wake her up to the bankruptcy of liberalism.

Thank you. I did say that to her and a lot of other things, like what Reagan did and all..but then I get really frustrated and upset so I have to stop and move on or just leave.. She got all the MSNBC talking points. I insist on the fact that she is a good friend - type of friend that is always there if you need - I know her since many years and she is a sweetheart, really. But for some reason, even though she runs a successful business, she just cannot get the “capitalist” thing in her head.

I am still trying with her because about a month ago she told me that she was sick of all this Congress and gov stuff - all the same - very very disappointed by the one - which I thought was a huge progress. Each time I tried to tell her that before the elections she replied that anything else which would not praise obama was propaganda. I sent her millions of emails to prove that the guy was a really bad choice - again, she would not believe a word of it - "It's propaganda!" - don't matter the facts. She is doing better now that she sees that he did not change anything so she may be in a recovery phase but still..

Of course I do but I am looking for..er ..may be a special wording to pass the info to their brain. What I say is like going through the mush with no impact at all, only on my own blood pressure so, is there a way to pass the message to these type of people in words that they can understand and associate with? I mean, passing the same conservative message but in words that they can understand? I get so upset and frustrated that I am useless to try to help the cause. I wish I would be better at spreading the message.

I discovered some years back that ridding my life of liberals resulted in a more peaceful, sane and productive existence.

I have heard all the excuses about “you cant do that when they’re family” and so on, but yes, you most certainly can. Libs are one of 2 things. 1. Evil to the core or 2. to stupid to realize they support that which is evil. There is no logical argument that can disprove that simple fact.

In neither case is there a place for liberals around good, sane, thinking people. If the stupid type lost friends and family more often, they might just have a moment of clarity as to why and improve their condition as a result. The pure evil type could care less about you anyway.

As for those you have to work with, don’t communicate with them unless it is 100% work related. Ignore them at all other times. Don’t say hello, don’t make small talk, nothing. If it’s your boss, get a different job as soon as you possibly can and let them know why you quit on the way out the door. You will thank yourself for it once you experience the sudden lack of stress in your life.

There are tons of these morons. I've seen comments on our local Topix boards that Obama should fire John Kasich as governor of Ohio for his "disrespect toward the president" and "ignoring the will of the people."
