NY Legislature legalizes gay marriage

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Gay marriage will become legal in New York state after the Republican-led state Senate voted to approve it. Advocates are calling it a historic step as New York stands to become the sixth but by far the largest state to legalize same-sex marriage.

Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo lobbied hard for the bill and has promised to sign it.

The Senate vote is viewed as a major gain in an effort to allow gay marriage nationally.

Regarding my post, there's nothing bigoted about running politicians (who don't follow their constituents wishes) out on a rail. Perhaps they need to look up the meaning of the word, and most likely are just a bunch of LIEberal DUmbass trolls who have nothing to do with a church or the Republican Party.

The answer to that question is the answer to your first question. Society has determined in the free marketplace of ideas and established by institution that it values marriage, family, children, and procreation and considers such worthy of promotion and privilege.

Homosexual sex is considered of no value by society. It may be tolerated in a free society; however, rewarding stupidity, delusion, self destruction, and death for the sake of being 'fair' is a leftist cause that destroys freedom and promotes the destruction of society.

Now that NY has legalized Gay Marriage let's see how many show up. I expect there will be a spike of early participants and then the numbers will fade like they have in Massachusetts indicating the underlying number of Gay people is less than reported.

I doubt that the real numbers are any where near what is reported by academic papers. Gay advocates have every reason to make the Gay population appear as large as possible. From the Kinsey Report's laughable 10% figure to more "reasonable" 3.5%, the question should be asked, Is the researcher a homosexual advancing that cause?

It's a state action but with national effects that are huge... as you point out.
